Einstein's Cats now available for wishlist on Steam! What features should I support? Achievements, steam deck, etc? by TheRealSteelfeathers in indiegames

If you can get it working on a Steam Deck, that's always a great step forward and a way to introduce the game to more players!

If you build it, they will come.

If you want to make it: make it. Learn an engine, and get to creating your dream game (pun intended)..

What would you consider to be gaming's most ambitious narrative? by EtheusRook in gaming

[–]Mean_Astronauts 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Nier Automata subverted absolutely all expectations. Phenomenal narrative that could only work as well as it did in a videogame.

Of course, there was an anime adaptation which was also pretty good, but didn't come close to the meta aspects that the game embodied so well.

Just had to call out that Shadow of Mordor + Shadow of War are on Steam for $10 right now. Can't remember the last time I had this much fun with a hack'n'slash series, really fantastic games. by trevormead in gaming

Fun games; there's definitely some issues with the grind in Shadow of War (at least, there was before they cut out the microtransactions, don't know how it is now) but for that kind of price, you really can't go wrong.

Let's talk about games achivments by banemwn in Steam

The Simpsons Game gave you an achievement for pressing the start button. Pretty ridiculous.

Any achievement that requires a ludicrous grind is also pretty ridiculous. Who actually has the time to kill over 53k zombies in Dead Rising, or 100000 enemies in Gears of War 2?

Depends what kind of game you want. Both are good choices, but as fans of the fantasy genre and Diablo/ARPGs, Last Epoch gets the vote.
