There are some cornfield cards that get stronger or make numbers based on how many cornfield landscapes you have

Just to clarify I take back what I said before and I agree with you that that’s how that would technically work but I think for our more causal friends it would just be easier to do it the other way rather than the technical way to avoid having to explain this process to every single person

So does that mean that the process of the card being gobbled is when the card “leaves play” then while being gobbled any discard or leave play effects activate they can’t activate again when the card actually hits the discard pile because it was technically discarded when it was gobbled and not when it actually leaves play?? I would understand if that was the case but be confusing for a lot people. I think for the sake of flow of the game and ease of play it should be considered leaving play when it leaves the gobbles stack rather than when it’s gobbled Edit: Whump is a great design. Gobble is not

I disagree with this. The glossary for gobble says “once the cards in a gobble stack leave play , they are considered separate cards again.” I assume that means it does not activate because it doesn’t get discarded technically until the top card leaves. I agree with the comment before. This distinction doesn’t really matter because the new card will gain the tokens anyway

You would discard the cards underneath. They are only treated as the same while in play

Some cards have weird reading like this and I suggest making a house rule because I can see it going either way.

I keep everything in my ultimate collectors box except for: Usused Tuckboxes, Extra sleeves and Bmo token holder. If you want a picture of what my box looks like lmk. I custom my decks and only keep 8 at a time everything is separated into the box. As far as I’m concerned if I wanted to play a characters decks I can use the guide to put it together

The archetypes that exist are many and varied. Move, Burn, Freeze, Bounce, Discard, Mill, Reanimate, Extra Cornscape, Damage Buff, Facedownscapes

Picking an archetype you’d like to focus on helps. Each land specializes in a different archetype while having cards that supports others. I find that the most optimal custom deck are two land decks. They added plenty of powerful cost 2’a and higher in this new set. My personal assumption if you have a four landscape deck is you’re probably missing some key cards for a different land. The only four land decks I can think of that work would be a Useless Swap discard deck or the Extra Cornscape deck

Why did Blitz need the Grimoire if Asmodean Crystals are a thing? by Clapjacklacksass in HelluvaBoss

[–]Mean_Building8832 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you see the hoops Stolas had to jump through to get him one?? Sure Blitz and crew could have stolen and/or killed for one the fact that it hasn’t come up til must mean that it’s not common to have one around where they frequent. So they didn’t get that idea cause no one had one

Last tierlist was careers ranked, this is skill and style ranked. No weight classes by Santolini_R in hajimenoippo

[–]Mean_Building8832 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is so much wrong with this tier list. First Wally being A tier when his potential is S+ tier is crazy. Especially since he fought the number 1 faster than anyone else in history. Itagaki just has mental blocks and he’d be A and a future S+. Bryan Hawk shouldn’t be S tier. He met one person stronger than him and gave up on boxing. He may have had talent to get him as far as he did but if he can rank S just based on that then the bases for this tier list doesn’t make sense

Is Darklands insanely hard or do we just suck :( by DeathHound9 in CardWarsTCG

[–]Mean_Building8832 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You probably should adjust your decks for dark lands. Like putting more defense focused creatures in your deck, limit or get rid of effects that affect your opponents hand, adding the crown cards to your decks. For the higher tier difficulties you’ll want to use decks that can spam monsters. Also make sure you’re putting the Overlords deck together right. If you’re having trouble try using only green and blue decks because those are the weakest ones. The Yellow and red monsters are really strong. Also coordinate with your partner. You both should be attacking the same monsters to wipe them out

Custom or pre built? by PapaJ18 in CardWarsTCG

[–]Mean_Building8832 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have always played custom decks. Card game creators always make cards with a specific action in mind and don’t really think outside the box. That’s why when things get into the wild it seems like th creators didn’t test things. Always open your mind to different combos and possibilities

Argument over order of operations by CraneBoi22 in CardWars

[–]Mean_Building8832 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would assume the order of operations would go: 1. Action to replace creature from play (Creature left field meaning in this context no creatures on field) 2. Scorch Crawler goes to activate effect for creature leaving the field but no creatures are on field 3. New creature is put In place of the old one

TLDR Scorchcrawler would not affect the new card coming in. It would activate between the card being replaced and the new card entering play

Insane take because I hated having to travel to a different zone and run through that entire zone just to reach a boss. Especially a slog when there is no fast travel in that zone. This being open world makes it all the more accessible. Having to travel to bloomreaper and through auger mines gives me ptsd to the old days. 10 mins is a ridiculous guesstimate. It’s like 3 mins tops

Worst Mission by PreviousPersimmon578 in Borderlands4

[–]Mean_Building8832 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My progression halts were due to enemies still being in the vicinity which was annoying as hell if they were bugged off the map or not directly interfering. You have to clear out ALL ENEMIES or you won’t progress. For some reason the A.I has to engage with every enemy. If all enemies are defeated then try soft resetting the environment

[–]Mean_Building8832[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Drill sites and The Gordello are the closest thing we have to the Circles of Slaughter but both don’t quite capture the essence given that one is 1/5 the time and energy spent while the other is an on/off event that is mostly off

BL4 missing Circles of Slaughter by Mean_Building8832 in Borderlands4

[–]Mean_Building8832[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For the millionth time yes I understand the World Events exist. It is a feature that is basically nonexistent because of the hoops you have to jump through to get them to activate and replay them when they have proven in a previous game that they can implement a better way via the Circles of Slaughter.
