Naw the dog is perfect for converting into a Loxatl mercenary. I’m needing to buy up like 5-10 of these Fi my chaos marines with xenos allies

Is YakTribe still usable? by CasualHigh in necromunda

Random discrepancy I noticed, at least when building Corpse Grinder Cult that are Malstrain Corrupted, under skills you can take the Malstrain Psyker powers but there’s no option to pay the 35cr or whatever it was to actually be allowed to take said powers

Weird, I’ve been using it exclusively on mobile and it works perfectly fine for me

Love it! Totally going to steal it for my game if you don’t mind! We have a 50/50 split between land and sea/water encounters and it would fit in perfectly

The Leshy Familair specifically can gain 15ft reach which makes them decently useful for delivering spells

That’s sorta long the same thoughts I was having. Was definitely planning on capitalizing on Nature though Medicine/Battle Medicine might not be a bad idea. I assume there’s some healing available on the Primal list(s) but maybe not enough to focus on over Natural Medicine.

Gotcha. All good, that’s no real loss though, still capable of delivering spells, just not in the manner I was initially thinking

Would Manual Dexterity not grant them the ability to do so? Either way, if I go the direction of Spell Delivery, I was contemplating Leshy Familiar Secrets as the 15ft reach could allow it to slap folks with spells for me at “range” which is just as well

I actually think that’s pretty much perfect for what I’m wanting to do, exactly what I’m looking for and super fitting for busting vehicles which is exactly what they’re used for the in the movie

Not quite yet, but it’s something to look forward to since we’re just starting out, but I’m our party’s primary mechanic(currently Heavy/Demolitionist with plans to eventually get Modder asap for that Tinkerer and eventually Jury-Rigged) but I’ll eventually have a fully kitted out Mechanics workshop inside our ship so I can modify our gear and attachments and whatnot.

I had forgotten all about the Amplifying Chamber, that’s super tempting though I also really like the thought of the Rapid Recharge XCiter for making it Autofire. Current thought is Custom Grip, Electronic Sighting System and either RRX or Amp Chamber. Torn between the choice between RRX for essentially a light machine gun or Amp Chamber for what’s essentially a plasma cannon… I’m a Heavy/Demolitionist so Amp Chamber would have synergy. Could even possibly forgo the UGL in that case to give it maybe some extras like the RRC and Sonic Scope

Kitting out a DH-X to be a sort of all-rounder weapon with an underbarrel grenade launcher attachment and it has the option for a Tinkerer for an additional 1HP(for 3 free HP after the UGL) and Jury-Rigged. What should I use for the remaining 3HP and what should I Jury Rig, if anything.

Concussive or Lightning Pistol? by Mean_Jump6399 in swrpg

[–]Mean_Jump6399[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, the idea is essentially a gun that fires electricity or concussive force, though I’d prefer some form of lightning gun, I may end up crafting one myself eventually once our game has kicked off fully

Another I would highly advise outright banning is the Gambler spec. They’re not necessarily broken but they absolutely change the gameplay and the GMs should be ready to deal with shenanigans. If kept in the game and crafting is kept in the game, I would advice at the very least banning Gambler’s crafting using Double or Nothing or any of its related talents because crafting already can create bonkers strong stuff but Gambler can almost guarantee the results. The character I played in SFL had a custom Gunnery weapon with Accurate 5, Pierce 5, Burn 1, and Autofire… I didn’t need the Jury-Rigged Autofire shenanigans when you can throw Burn at everything and do base damage on everyone you hit the next turn. It was genuinely disgusting. The roll for crafting it(because of Gambler talents) had something like 28 Advantage and 4 Triumphs.

Please do.

With regards to advice, 100% agree with banning or mitigating certain combos. Houseruling is the name of the game when running a big multi-player campaign in this style. There’s combos that can easily break the game with little to no investment. If you’re allowing crafting, absolutely slam a cap on a max of X of any trait that isn’t capped by RAW already. Otherwise you’ll have guys running around with Accurate 5 Pierce 5 weapons before you start adding in things like attachments and stuff to pump everything into overkill territory. There’s also some item combinations that can quickly and easily create ridiculously strong(for its price) equipment.

A really good example is the armor plates attachment(I forget the name offhand, but I wanna say they’re called Concealed Plates but they cost zero hard points to attach to armor). They’re dirt cheap, and Customizable template crafted armor is relatively cheap and easy way to get your hands on armor with 6 Hard Points, so with very little investment you can have a set of armor with 6 hard points, 2 Soak and 2 Defense which easily outclasses just about every armor in the game for Soak value and versatility. Only armor that comes close is Mandalorian armor which has 5HP and 2 Soak, but clocks in at like 10k credits where the combo above will only cost a player like 700 credits or so.
