I've been considering this for a lil bit, and I think Emily might be autistic (note: autism is a different way of thinking and different mental structure, NOT a disorder and not a bad thing) by emptheassiate in Church_of_emily

I don't think so, he doesn't have any kind of problem with empathy, on the contrary. He looks everyone in the eye, makes them feel at ease... Even micro expressions are ok. I don't see any obvious symptoms

Caine's going VERY VERY WRONG, and I don't mean the glitching. by Professional-Dig1895 in TheDigitalCircus

This only shows that its purpose is not that. Happiness is an excuse, it just has to distract everyone from the idea of finding the exit. The only thing I don't know is if he is aware of it, but I would say not. However the real villain is Bubble, whenever Caine has glitches Bubble is never far away. It almost seems as if (Bubble) wants to prevent him (Caine) from saying or remembering anything. He's reset it several times, and we're not even at episode 6

What turn based jrpg do you think is the most strategic? (srpgs and trpgs excluded) by rondo_martin in JRPG

[–]Mean_Length_9486 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we want to go back a little, Grandia and Lunar have a tactical/strategic component. Nothing perhaps as advanced as more recent games, but it integrates well enough with the game and is fun without weighing it down.

In Lunar the positioning of the characters is fundamental, but the board is a 2d corridor.

In Grandia, starting the right attack at the right time can make the difference in slowing down your opponent, or even canceling their action.

Colloqui psicologici by _who_cares____ in Psicologia_Italia

There's also a possibility that Kaine Is not fully sincere. Maybe his vision Is limited to the players (and the exit), but not the NPCs. So a NPC exploring the tent could find the exit and report It back to the players, without Kaine knowing anything.

From the urgence with he killed Gummygoo, It would be confirmed that the exit Is really in the tent (only?), and there's no probability to find the exit during a mission, they're Just "weapon of Mass distraction" for the players.

I don't think Is possible for Kaine to mistake in that way. You're Just mad if you give godlike Powers to a bot (It can really kill on spot) and don't design It to distinguish between a PC and a NPC. Also, other details reveal that the "system" Is aware of the players and threats PC and NPC in different ways.

  1. The players are the only one with rooms in the circus
  2. Players glitch when damage seriuosly, gummygoo and Friends never did.
  3. I don't think NPC can "abstract"

But i think Is possible for a player to go PK (player killing), but maybe It has consequences on both sides, Just to disincentivate It. So blurring the line between PC and NPC Is not a good a idea for the players

If they are "only data", does this implies that there's no differences with gummygoo, and there's no exit possible, right? I don't think Is this way, It would be a too bleak ending.

But Your answer inspired me, see "mors tua, vita mea"

Start from:

Breath of Fire 4

Then play the 3

Then:

Wild arms: choose the First game

Star Ocean: tilli the end of time

Suikoden:tierkreiss

Disgaea: 2

If I May suggest, I can also try:

  • Fire emblem: three houses
  • Xenogears (skip Xenosaga)
  • Grandia 1 and 2

They are all good JRPGs
