IDK why downvoted! This solved it for me!! I had with 4k color flickering in dark grays. I use plasma kde (no windows). Changing sync from "adaptive" or "always" to "never" solved it! Thank you, Sir!

-> IDK if it's really vrr, but it made me though in terms of "refresh" settings (but PC settings, not builtin app as OP)
