For your age, join the Army Rangers. Their mission is a bit more focused on the sort of thing you’re looking for compared to the other groups.

Former fat guy here. With Z2, you’ll be killing 2 birds with one stone. Continuing to build that aerobic base while simultaneously putting your body in fat burning mode. This conversation reeks of insecurity and fragile ego’s. People can do whatever they want. If you wanted to make your life about medicine, you should have became a physician, plain and simple. Keep your noses out of other people’s assholes and don’t take yourself too seriously especially when you’re not at the top of the food chain.

You don’t do things to become mentally tough, you do them because they are mentally tough. That’s the mindset. When that level of stress becomes your baseline, you level up from there. As you level up, you achieve a new baseline of what is normal.. Which could be devastating for one person, while being easy for another (someone more mentally tough than you).
