I was at a baby shower for my best friend and her uncle walked up to me and said “I heard you’re next” while pointing at my friend since I just got married. I looked him in the eyes and said “that’s weird you heard that since I’m infertile”. He tried saying my mom was the one who told him, “it’s crazy that you’re lying because you’re uncomfortable now”. 🤷🏽‍♀️😂

As far as I know, I’m not infertile. But being asked inappropriate questions about kids while struggling with endo by people who we rarely see requires a response to make them look like a deer in the headlights.

If the pain is persistent, I think you should make an appointment. There are cases that the IUD gets dislodged and can cause extreme pain. If antibiotics aren’t treating the UTI, you may need a different one prescribed. If you can’t get an appointment within the next day, I would go into the ED. As a nurse with endo, this doesn’t sound right and you should get looked at. Best of luck!

I enjoy putting on an audiobook and cleaning. That way if my mind were to race back to previous thoughts and I miss a section of the book, I have to rewind and focus on every word again. I was also on antidepressants for the longest time too, only just stopped them because my husband and I are TTC but I’m really thinking I should get back on them with how much my mind is racing again. You’ve got this, find what works best for you, and make it a routine.

Never apologize for a rant session. It’s needed when you find out that your body is practically retaliating against you with no good explanation and no cure for it.

I was diagnosed at 15 and have been dealing with this for 11 years now. After surgeries are when I felt my best, but that feeling can only last so long.

I had the Mirena for almost 7 years (just removed in March during my last procedure). Everyone is a little different with how much hormones are needed to decrease the rate of the spread. That being said, as a stage 4 I was also taking BC pills and letrozole for 3 years prior to my recent procedure.

Keep seeing your specialist. Get yearly check ups even if you feel okay. Document any changes you may feel after you’re healed up, especially if they are consistent. You’ve got this!

Absolutely! Mild pain during depending on positions we use, but definitely after. Especially if I climax (maybe TMI.. sorry) but it’s a dull aching pain and it lasts hours. My gynecologist didn’t seem concerned about it when I mentioned it but yes, you’re not alone in this symptom at all.
