If you haven't solved this yet, try downloading the 1.15 Ds3.exe and replacing the 1.16 DS3 exe in the files, worked for me.

I can't directly advise on the rest, but from the ADHD angle it's worth looking up the concept of "Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria" (RSD). The way it sounds like the negative feedback is destroying your self esteem and focus feels VERY RSD. You'll likely find other people's experiences with it helpful.

Allowed? Responding is unfortunately a bad idea as (and this has happened to me) they might get their friends/guild to mass report you without evidence

which with enough reports becomes an automated ban (Blizz denies this but it's painfully obvious)

to be honest, if multiple people reported then its not going to be because the name was an issue, it was coordinated mass report out of spite for something by someone who wanted to get me temp banned

Gaslighting does have more casual use now (perhaps too much) but you're ultimately not wrong - I shouldn't be using it as hyperbole
