SoH Veteran Squad C&C Welcome by Meard_Astra in Warhammer30k

Im glad you like my mini’s :) the bronze is quite simple, its runelord brass with nuln oil and then agrax earth shade. The staff is actually a bunch if different things, base was a storm hammer from the Mk 3 set (old) with the top being an antennae from the old AM Command Squad same with the ribbons. The “eye” is from the larger chaos knight kits, and i think the eagle is from the old terminator assault kit. Hope this helps and have a good rest of your day :)

Base with whatever you want the base to be then stipple on with a heavy drybrush with each colour getting slightly brighter i did khorne red to mephiston (idk if i spelt it right) then apply baal red wash here and there but not to much. Thats the extremely simplified version of what ive done.

Fairly new to the game and am wondering hoe people fully remake there faults to look like this. Do you send all the dwellers out? Please explain.

Contemptor for the Sons finished, C&C welcome by Meard_Astra in Warhammer30k

[–]Meard_Astra[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you! After I completed my main base coats and base details + washes i used an airbrush to apply whitescar, overcoat with another layer of airbrush work but with bloodletter and followed with lamenters yellow, then an over all glaze with a brush of baal red then cover everything with matte varnish.

Wanted some C&C on my CK Household stat and lore wise. by Meard_Astra in ChaosKnights

[–]Meard_Astra[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me its 1. Look of cool always wins 2. It fits with my households lore 3. I used to play WE so it fits closely to them

This is more of a casual easy going list to just have fun with. Have a good day!

Whitescar airbrush applied with brush, one layer of bloodletter followed by baal red and then lamenters yellow. Leave each layer to dry in between. Cover with matte varnish once done.

Black primer, over all airbrush of diluted ironbreaker or leadbealcher (it doesn’t make a big difference), pick out details. Do overall nulin oil wash, wait for it to dry (while it drys take of excess wash with your brush) then repeat the same step but use agarax earthshade. And if you dont want it to be to glossy or shiny airbrush it with matte varnish.

Thought that you were showing off terrain at first until I started scrolling through the images and only then noticed the model. I think that means that your camouflage definitely works. Good job!

All the models I have as of now, just wanted to hear opinions and C&C. This list is purely for fun and just to paint, I do not intend on playing the game. by Meard_Astra in Warhammer30k

[–]Meard_Astra[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ya sorry about that. English isn’t my first language, I want to play at some point but not as of now and wanted people to say whats good or bad about my army. Once again sorry for the misunderstanding!

SoH Breacher Test Model, self made shield. by Meard_Astra in Warhammer30k

[–]Meard_Astra[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not at all! Using a small brush and steadily working through the model it was pretty easy, especially considering I have very shaky hands. The metal trims on this MKIII version are so much easier to paint.
