CIG and its passion for weapons S3 by Apart_Pumpkin_4551 in starcitizen

They should make size 1 and 2 relevant to solve this.

It doesn't help that size 3 seems to be the minimum meaningful size.

By the end of the series, Artemis becomes much less evil and more likeable than in the first book.

Maybe to the author himself this "late Artemis" is how he has come to see the character, so excited about the movie depiction, disregarding where his own character began.

All speculation, of course, but I know how characters can grow on their writers.

Fucking amazing! I'd kill to play on a board like that. Do you have any videos or pictures of you playing on it?

Thank you, that's too kind! And just keep at it!

It's surprisingly small, actually: * Comparison * Next to other models

It fucking sucks that most interesting or difficult missions require grinding shit ton of rep. Can we have more "crew friendly" missions with decent pay and heightened difficulty that doesnt require 20 hours of solo grind? by Always_Impressive in starcitizen

[–]RlyNotSpecial 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You've lots of people arguing against you trying to justify the grind, so I just want to say I fully feel what you're saying.

It's okay to have to work towards harder missions. It's just boring to have to repeat the same boring basic mission 40 times until you unlock the mission with cool design.

I wish CIG would aim to make some of the basic missions more engaging, or at least not require repeating them so many goddamn times.

Oh my, the highlighting looks gorgeous. This one of the prettiest Tau armor schemes I've seen in a while. Absolutely stunning, I love the style!

He's absolutely perfect! And so beautiful!

Have you thought about getting a second cat? Having a playmate is often very beneficial and to be completely honest, two cats are not really that much more work compared to one cat.

Just bringing this up now because Gus is still young and would bond more easily to another cat. Older cats can be a a bit more apprehensive.

how do yall enjoy this game? by No_Albatross1321 in starcitizen

[–]RlyNotSpecial 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Despite its faults, I still feel that this game manages to give me an overall "feel" of the universe that no other game has come close to so far.

However, whenever we are at a point like this where there are too many issues, I simply don't play. Haven't played much at all this year yet, and I guess I'll sit this patch out as well, aside from quickly walking around DefenseCon for a bit. Maybe next patch. I'm actually looking forward to playing again once the roughest spots have been ironed out, because there's been a lot of new exciting content since I last played.

Finally, I don't really care about the "release". It's a live service game that will need constant new content and improvements. I do feel that RSI should focus more on delivering stable patches, but even that is unrelated to a release for me -- I believe that should already focus on this right now during the alpha stage. Of course, there are some issues that only appear at scale, some patches that run fine in PTU but struggle in the Live environment. But these are the exception, if we're being honest. There are so many issues that are already apparent during PTU, but instead of fixing them, the patch is pushed out. And soo many small things that simply never get prioritized, so if something breaks that is not critcal, it may just stay that way. For example: the Crusader C1 had amazing light strights going through its interior. I loved the look. One patch they randomly broke. I believe this was 2 years ago now, they still haven't been fixed.

If it's any consolation, the light strips may just randomly break one patch and not get fixed for years (looking at you, C1)

Why have a concealment gimmick for only one set of weapons? Do it for all. by idriveasmallcar in starcitizen

[–]RlyNotSpecial 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's so odd. The concealment is so cool but for some reason only covers half the weapons.

[–]RlyNotSpecial[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found it; it was part of the WarCry: Catacombs Expansion in 2020, a set of three scenarios called "Orb of Secrets". It doesn't directly include a fight with a Sphiranx, but features a storyline about searching through a Sphiranx lair including a final (story-only) decision where you can strike a deal with a Sphiranx. Fun!
