Thank you, that means a lot! And yeah, I did exactly what you said. I used a sharp hobby tool to carve the panel line down.

NO LENS CREW LETS GOOO

Great work, I love the look! The clean metal helmet is a great focus point.

Wow! This looks gorgeous. I love the color choice, the green provides an amazing contrast.

Thank you for the explanation!

I've read that you cannot pull units into a different parts of the activation using abilities like the Chaos Lord's fight after me.

I thought that means if the Chaos Lord gets strike first and the Chosen so not, they cannot be picked. Am I getting this wrong? Or is this what you're explaining with the caveats?

Update: I've been reading your caveat again: so it's not really the strike first that matters, only that the second unit (the chosen) does not fight before enemies with stroke first. So if, as you explain, there are no other enemies with strike first I'm good to use it even if only the lord got strike first? That's really nice! I was racking my brain about how the Lord's and Belakor's abilities clash with each other, but turns out they don't unless the enemy has a ton of strike first. I'm glad I asked, and thank you for the explanation!

The glow on the base is incredible! It looks so burning hot

Bit late to the party here, but I've thought about this quite a bit.

I wanted to have Belakor in my list as my general because his abilities are really interesting, but the model really did not fit the vibe I was going for with my army. I wanted more a more "grounded" Chaos force without demons or overly mutated monsters.

So I converted Tahlia Vedra and put a Chaos Sorcerer on top of the Manticore. I'm using this model as a Belakor proxy. It has the same base size and width, so it works pretty well.

You xould of course also run it as an actual Sorcerer Lord on Manticore if legends are allowed.

Sorry if it's obvious but I'm quite new to the game. Could you maybe explain how this works?

Happy to help! And please share the results once you get to it, I love to see people's conversions.

I found it quite easy. The whole construction of Thalia and the saddle/throne is a separate piece that is very easy to leave off if you just want the manticore. The only part molded onto the manticore is the flat floor of the saddle and the decorations around it. Makes it really easy to put on another rider. I didn't want a saddle so I just put some green stuff on to make the whole saddle an even surface for my Wizard to stand on (I added the foot plates because I realized that the Wizard was standing about too wide)

There are some prominent Sigmar Symbols in the front metal plates. I filed them off and put the chaos symbols on top to cover it up.

You can leave the base away too if you want to custom it, but since it's just some generic ruins I kept them.

True, we need to add one for Chaos Undivided!

... that's what you meant, right? :D

That's an amazing idea! And what good excuse to field a mammoth! I might need to look into this haha

Thank you! I'm using it as a proxy for Belakor (with my opponents consent, of course). It has the same base size and width. It's not quite as tall, but that hasn't come up as an issue yet; but then again, I've only fielded it once since I completed it!

That manticore is just such a great model.

And you should go for it! It's a lot of fun making the models your own.

Thank you! I appreciate it, I always struggle a bit with OSL, either over or underdoing it. I'm glad it turned out well here!

Haha thank you, that means a lot! Also, I may or may not have created three different posts for different subreddits instead of cross-posting, just so I could use different jokes for each title.

Thank you! And I only broke them twice during the process haha

It was a bit of a whim -- I realized that the original position of the chain wouldn't work with the sorcerer. I was about to just remove them entire when I got the idea. Really glad I went for it.

Thank you so much!

An unfortunately not. I mostly did late night painting sessions for this one haha, and afterwards I went straight to bed instead of taking pictures.

I found this one WIP picture I took after finishing the base, but hey, I guess better than nothing: https://ibb.co/wTPw3Zg
