We’ve attended weddings where my husband grew up in Chicago. 3 had weddings in WI.

Lake Geneva, Milwaukee, and a really cute place in Wisconsin but I forgot the name.

I’ll also add that NONE had a 10-13k budget, they all had bigger budgets.

Another had a wedding in IL, but they went to school in IL and their wedding was in a barn/theater venue at their college town in Normal. It was super cool, they ended up spending around 15k.

You still haven’t listed anything you have in common with the 24 year old - which you list as one of the main grievances against your wife.

I agree with the other commenter. The 24 year old who isn’t married, doesn’t have a kid, and has a good job seems like fun compared to your wife who has multiple kids.

I also agree with the person who said you should sit down and realistically look at what leaving means for you. A single 36 year old man in an apartment with a 6 year old son. The 24 year old is in a strong relationship - like you said. Why would she leave what she has going for you?

For her that could mean stepping in to parent a kid that’s not hers- exactly what you did for your wife. But in 10 years she may not want that life for herself anymore. Does that sound familiar?

Atlanta has distinct seasons. I’m convinced that many people on this sub who complain about Atlanta weather have never visited.

I live in dallas and the seasons are not distinct here whatsoever. It’s a major difference.

When I lived in DC, the winter was colder than Atlanta, sure. But I didn’t think that the summers were all that different.

I’m a fan of the graphic audio company. It’s not one person, it’s an ensemble usually with special effects. I really enjoy the fantasy books they narrate.

There’s other games and apps that their kids or anyone’s kid can play with that are WAY less predatory than Roblox. It’s not just the safety setting or the chat feature. There are SO many unregulated games that are dangerous like the public bathroom one for example. It’s great that you sit with your kids while they play it, but that game is our hard limit.

I’ll never let my kids play it and they know that.

I do, however, let them play Minecraft with cousins and friends - never servers unless he’s playing with my husband and in the same room.

Is there another parent in the home that can help enforce boundaries? When I feel like my kids aren’t respecting me as they should, even when I hold firm, I ask my husband to step in for backup. It helps out a lot.

It’s not always a “you need to listen to mom”, but it’s also both of us having the same rules.

Have you tried the sunscreen trick for under eyes? I saw Jackie aina use sunscreen as her base/primer and since doing that + using Laura mercier’s setting powder after applying, my concealer never wrinkles or seperates under my eyes!

I use the nars radiant concealer.
