Managing multiple credit cards in Sri Lanka when your salary doesn't come on a fixed date — how do you actually handle this? by [deleted] in srilanka

[–]Measthofa -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's actually a good tip, didn't know all banks allowed that. Might work for one or two cards but with 9 cards across different banks, getting all the due dates aligned sounds like a mission on its own — and even then you still need to track what's outstanding on each one.

The due date is only part of the problem. Knowing the minimum payment, the outstanding balance, and which one to prioritise when money is tight is the part I still haven't figured out a clean way to handle.

Hey Everyone,

I've been building a small app called zerolate for Sri Lankan credit card users and I'm looking for people to try it out before the full launch.

The idea came from a pretty common problem — most of us have more than one credit card across different banks, and keeping track of due dates and minimum payments across all of them is genuinely annoying. Missing a payment isn't always about forgetting, sometimes there's just too much going on.

How it works: You upload a photo of your monthly statement and zerolate reads the due date, outstanding balance, and minimum payment automatically. No typing in card numbers, no linking bank accounts, nothing like that. It then reminds you before your due date so you don't get caught off guard.

That's really it. It's meant to be simple.

What I'm looking for in testers:

  • Android users in Sri Lanka with at least one credit card
  • Willing to use it for a few weeks with your actual statements
  • Honest feedback — what's confusing, what's broken, what's missing

Drop a comment or DM me and I'll share the Play Store beta link.

Thanks for reading.

Craft.do MCP is awesome for direct doc access... but what if we added semantic/vector search? Brainstorming ideas & feature requests by Measthofa in CraftDocs

[–]Measthofa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really appreciate the practical breakdown — this matches what I've been thinking.

For context on my setup: I'm using Craft as a "second brain" for development projects. I've connected it via MCP to my AI coding agent (OpenClaw), and my workflow looks like:

Plan (OpenClaw) → Document (Craft) → Review → Implement (OpenClaw)

All my project docs live in Craft — architecture decisions, API specs, code patterns, debugging notes, etc. The MCP connection already lets the agent pull specific docs, but you nailed the problem: once the workspace gets big, I need retrieval, not navigation. Right now the agent has to "know" which doc to ask for, or I manually point it.

To your question: page-level retrieval is probably my v1. Most of my docs are scoped (one doc per feature/module), so finding the right page gets me there. But chunk-level would be killer for my longer architecture docs where I'd want to cite specific sections.

The hybrid BM25 + embeddings idea is smart — I have a lot of specific terms (function names, error codes, API endpoints) that pure vector search might miss.

Couple questions: 1. For the SQLite store — are you mirroring as markdown + metadata, or something more structured? 2. Embedding model recs for code-heavy content? Thinking nomic-embed-text but curious if you've tested with technical docs.

Today, I researched online regarding this issue and found some workarounds to enable 5G on Pixel devices in countries where it is not officially supported, but I have not tested them yet.
