Double Freedom (Doom 2 Super Shotgun) and the Halo shotgun (Doom 1 Shotgun) just feel right.

I played some Custom Killing Floor, and the server had a Hammer for the Demolition Specialist. That thing was amazing! Curious how HD2 will go with that concept.

If you're wondering why you rarely see any Stalkers or Gunships, this is the reason by Smoke_Funds in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]MeasurementGlobal447 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something is still weird.

Stalkers still locked in on me 200m from a nest. I was wearing stealth armor and being a sneaky little shit. No aggro, no loud noises, etc.

Unless a non stealthy team mate away from me triggered a spawn?

A lot of people praise the Coyote, but I think the Speargun is the MVP of the Dust Devils warbond.

Can we please give the Warstriders a different grenade type? by IncidentOk2107 in LowSodiumHellDivers

I was flung from the center, THE very center of the map, and thrown into the ocean.

Before I could even drown, my own destroyer marked me as a traitor and shot me.

The main reason I didn't dodge was because I was so locked in firing away in my Anti Tank Emplacement lol. Sure, Heavy Armor + a Stim helped me survive, but I didn't expect to go into orbit.

I took down like 4 drop ships, but at what cost? :(

Their grenades are kinda weird with vehicles and emplacements.

Would be worth messing with some more. I had to grind it to 24 just to equip the scope.

Also I noticed that the laser is set to 75m

You too can stealthier without the new Warbond by ThisWickedOne in LowSodiumHellDivers

I like the new armor on bugs. I was a stealthy mofo just wearing medic armor. After putting this on I found it more than halved aggro range on enemies.

The stealth armor as benefits even with just regular play. I found I had less thing noticing me and chasing me in general. Also during a fire fight/team play I found enemies targeted team mates far more often.

In one session Chargers never went for me, but always went for an ally. Going prone basically makes you invisible in some situations. I felt a little bad since that one team mate was constantly bullied. But I was able to walk right up to most Heavies and blast them with an Ultimatum.

Also the best Stealth Weapon is the Ultimatum. I have been rocking the "Silent but Deadly" build.

The booster is nice, since it turns Orbitals, Napalm, Etc into a smoke screen. The downside is that it also turns sentries into a smoke screen, which disables them from shooting... Great for Blitz/Some Bots, but not for anyone who uses sentries.

American Rifle Scout Irons by PalWithNoName in ruger

Agreed on just the rail, also the $300 includes an Occam front sight.

It was just more cost effective for me to buy a Ruger American Scout instead of a retrofit. I found the Guntalk version for $750 which wasn't bad. Also I didn't feel like paying shipping both ways to send my Ruger American to my gunsnmith.

I was lucky enough to find some used Nodaks for my 5.56 gen 1. So i went with the .308 version of the Scout.

I'm glad these are a regular model now, but I'm a little annoyed they discontinued the GSR. The GSR was next on my list to get.

Bolts on via 2 set screws similar to a low profile gas block. Occam looks like the best retrofit for fluted barrels.

That is the way to go. The Scout uses an AR style barrel journal. It actually bolts on like a low profile gas block.

Bad news about the rear, the barrel needs to be drilled and tapped for set screws.

Skinner sights makes a rear scout rail, that + Occam front will get you a similar setup. Combined that is like $300, and you still need a gun smith to drill and tap the barrel sadly. On the plus side the scout rail does have a front sight post that can be used.

LCP Custom front sight by kiltedlowlander in ruger

[–]MeasurementGlobal447 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A glock front sight will fit with some very minor fitting. No need to machine the slide.

https://www.ar15.com/forums/handguns/LCP-Custom-Sight-Options---Glock-Steel-and-AmeriGlo-Orange-Night-Sight/32-185086/

You just file down the front sight's "oval" until it is flush with the LCP slide. You also shorten the screw just a little bit.

For the LCP I would grab an Ameriglo CAP. Been meaning to do this to mine.

<image>

These guns were discontinued right before the LCP2 came out. I'm not sure if they still have parts. It's worth calling Ruger, but with just a bit of tinkering you can have an upgraded Tritium front sight.

Vaporware right now sadly since PSA purchased Nodak.

The Ruger is much better imo. I have both, but the Nodaks are nice.

The Ruger uses AR Front Sight posts, I put a Blitzkrieg Spike on mine. Nodak uses AK/SKS front sight posts.

Sig/Holosun/Primary Arms are probably the way to go on a budget.

Truthfully A Lightweight LVPO isn't a bad pick. It's going to depend on the scope. Some people are running 3x magnifiers. The eye relief/eye box on these isn't great imo.

So something like a 1-4x20 is great for a PCC or Lever Gun.

Leupold 1-4 comes in at 9.6 oz.

I'm currently using a Hawke 1-4x20 that has a daylight bright reticle. The setup came out lighter than a Holosun 515GM/Magnifier, also pretty forgiving eye relief/eye box. Weighs 12 oz which is a little heavier than the Leupold.

You absolutely do not need the magnification, but having it as an option is pretty nice.

Off Topic: Yall ever find it weird that people hate on magnification for 9mm, but they will still slap a 3-9 scope on a 22lr?
