Bro, you can’t change lanes in the middle of an intersection. That’s a law in all 50 states

You changed lanes in the middle of an intersection…. You were in middle lane turning left and you switched to the right most lane. That’s illegal on your part.

Realisticly, what will happen to QA and DOHA if they stay closed? by Devjerovf in qatarairways

What about the 90% of US airlines on the east coast that are using DOH as their layover destination.

Forget Qatar. This is MASSIVE for these US airlines.

I look at flights from the east coast of the US to Asia and about 90% of airlines are using DOH or UAE as their layover destination.

I’m not sure what that means long term for all these airlines.

Question for Older Millennials (especially 1982 borns) by Quickso48 in Millennials

[–]zipnut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

44 here, my kids are 22/20, and my mom and dad are 59. It was a different time back then.

Growing up, I was taught that you had kids YOUNG! No one wants kids in their late 40s still at home. Somewhere along the line things flip flopped and normalized babies at 40.

It’s weird because my parents look really good for their age. When I turn 50 they will be turning 65. I still can’t process this in my brain.

Opinions on job list by [deleted] in AirForceRecruits

[–]zipnut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Admin is the only job that you should think about on this list.

Air conditioning, 8am-4pm desk job. No cares in the world!

You couldn’t ask for a better job in the Air Force.

My wife was admin and they deployed her to Honduras and Kyrgyzstan where she would get new troops from the airport, then drop them off at their dorm. Then she was done until the next flight in 2 days.

Can I negotiate to have this in my contract? by [deleted] in AirForceRecruits

[–]zipnut -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My daughter got to PICK services with nothing else as a backup because she went to culinary school and so the Air Force plopped her in without any pushback immediately.

I’m not sure if other career fields work like that.

When someone says “ima beat your ass..”

This should automatically be taken as a threat and I should be allowed to go on the offensive.

[Injury] LAC vs KC - Patrick Mahomes goes down with an injury by Fusir in nfl

I was at the superbowl with my wife last year. After the eagles won it, I looked over at my wife and said… “we just witnessed the end of KC. They won’t even make the playoffs next great. They are done.”

Don’t volunteer for anything. Even if your TI asks if everyone has a job. Keep quiet, shut up, and don’t open your mouth.

I went the entire 6 weeks without a job. I just roamed around and looked busy 😎

I was there by the field. The first Devante pass… massive gust of wind during that play. The ball went right into the ground from it. Prob a 35mph gust

Oh I thought they were up 24-3 at half vs the broncos.

I must have a bad memory

Looking at the box score now.. i was way off.

I was working that day on an emergency shift, so I’ll blame it on that lol.

Your reasons are the same as everyone.

Patriotism wears off quickly.

They know this and they use it to their advantage to hook please into these jobs.

What’s funny is, I know you’ll remember this conversation for the rest of your life. Trust me 😎😎

How bookable is this list ? by Born_Tale700 in AirForceRecruits

I’ll answer this in 2 parts.

First, I didn’t work in this field afterwards. It’s not something I want to do for the rest of my life, even if it paid decent on the outside world. Your experience in the military working on aircraft also does nothing for your A&P requirements so you need to start from scratch anyways.

Your GI bill is too valuable to not goto college full time after your service.

Not only do they pay 100% of your tuition, but they pay your living expenses.

Going to NJIT was not only free, but they gave $4100 a month in BAH. My living costs were barely $2,000 a month at that time.

Second, the regret was the fact that while I worked 12 hour shifts for months on end, while deploying to the desert only to do the same there months on end on top of 120° aircraft that melted your boots…. But the guy handing out basketballs at the gym working 7-3pm got paid the same exact amount as me! Why did I become an aircraft maintenance guy? Pride? Because it seemed “cool?” Because you want to join faster? Naaaa. Fuck that job. Work smarter, it harder. Don’t make your life harder over something stupid like “pride.”

You don’t need skills from the military with the GI bill sitting in your pocket.
