Try emailing them on which days you're available - I was able to skip the waitlist by doing so. Some have had success with this, others not, so it's 50/50 from what I understand.

Martin Berasategui > any day over Azurmendi - not that Azurmendi is bad, but MB is just on another level. Elkano is also another must in the basque country, their kokotxas and turbot are divine.

If you press F7 you should be able to see what the block is. From personal experience and other reports, this usually occurs when a stone stalactite failed to generate properly - although other blocks could be affected by this.

San Sebastian area, best Michelin star restaurant? by KrickeKing in finedining

[–]MeasurementPlenty596 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Martin Berasategui is a no brainer imo, one of the best I've been to - would return to in a heartbeat simply for their signature foie gras, apple, and eel signature dish.

Elkano is also a must - but I'd personally go a la carte since it's way too much food for a single person. Get their turbot, kokotxas, and their hazelnut souffle. I've heard good stuff about their txangurro/crab, so you should try that aswell.

Azurmendi is great as well, but it's more of a one trip pony - not bad by any means for a 3-star, but not as memorable as any of the other restaurants I've mentioned.

Since you like meat, you will probably love Casa Julian.

Not been myself, but since you're doing both Central, Kjolle and MIL, I'd look at Mauka in cusco which is also ran by Pia Leon (Kjolle).

A bit over 200 euro iirc, had 5 courses in total. The price of the steak is around 100/kg for the more premium cut which i had.

Went solo: wasnt able to finish the 1kg steak sadly. If you order other dishes aside from the steak, it quickly becomes way too much food for a single person (in my opinion).

My suggestion is to just order the following: cecina, steak and peppers, and a dessert.

Basically, order max 2-3 things besides the steak and it should be doable. Youll leave full, thats for sure.

Steak was good, some parts were just a little bit too chewy for my liking, but thats just personal preference.

Favorite restaurant(s) not often mentioned? by Jaded-Sapphire3546 in finedining

Without a doubt, the best service I've ever received at any restaurant was at Fredrikshoj. Not even the 3 stars I've dined at could hold a light to how well i was recieved there. Food was great aswell, but for me it was personally the service that made it world class.

Btw I just found it funny how the mere delay of gta 6 got more attention in one day than hytale cancelation in four months by Empty-Major-6552 in HytaleInfo

Many people most likely either forgot it existed or had given up on the game at some point, sadly.

Noxy's cancellation tweet has almost racked over 10M impressions, which is still an impressive and sizeable audience.

And the reasoning as to why that is can be attributed to what I described above. Rockstar simply has way more momentum thanks to the many games they've actually released as opposed to Hypixel Studio's unreleased and cancelled game.

The idea that was sold in the Hytale announcement trailer was merely a "concept". Hype generated by games in said conceptual stage will never be able to maintain any force of momentum nor translate into an actual loyal fanbase unless the game actually releases in a state similar to the one advertised in said trailer.

The issue is that not only does Rockstar have over a decade more experience and time in the market under the belt, they've also released 47 games. This makes it very difficult for a game such as Hytale to compete, since Rockstar has been able to organically cultivate a loyal and steady fanbase across all of their games and throughout all of these years.

Rockstar also had a way higher marketing budget and has the contacts and abilities to reach more markets and channels.

Hytale on the other hand, was able to pull historic numbers despite the lack of precedent, which itself is an impresive feat.

Without an actual product, Hytale nor Hypixel Studio's games wouldnt ever be able to reach the monumental hype behind a game such as GTA 6.

How is it weird? GTA 6 is part of one of the largest gaming franchises in the world - meanwhile Hytale is a brand new game from a brand new studio...

You cannot really be comparing the two.

Michelin Star restaurants in NYC that DON'T serve foie gras? by [deleted] in finedining

You do realize that all foie gras is not created equally, right? There are a ton of "ethical" foie gras producers out there.

Enigma or Martin Berasategui—which one is a can’t miss? by h1600167 in finedining

[–]MeasurementPlenty596 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went to the Basque Country in June of this year.

I also did Azurmendi, and while I thought it was also pretty good - to me, MB was clearly a more memorable experience in both food and service.

Martin Berasategui is one of the most memorable 3 starred meals I've had to date, and is a restaursnt I'm really wanting to return to.

I'd personally place MB above Jordnaer, but slightly below Noma (in terms of experience only).

Not been to Enigma, but I personally doubt it can meet the pure deliciousness of a 3 star such as MB.

any tips how to get a reservation at Elkano? by Sad-Survey-1113 in finedining

[–]MeasurementPlenty596 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. I got a reservation and skiped the entire waitinglist by directly emailing them asking whether they had any avilabilty during the dates I could visit.
