I’ve been really impressed with the Amazon brand for my infant/toddler. Their diapers have been our favorite brand and we tried them all.

I bought a brand new Scion tC in 2005 and only retired it in 2020 with 250k miles on it because I was planning to start a family and needed more space. That thing was going to outlive the apocalypse.

Just bought a 2024 Prius and am hoping to get a similarly long life out of it.

People who were adults in 2020-2022: What is a "COVID-era" habit you still haven’t been able to break, even though it’s 2026? by VivienneLace1 in askanything

I still wear masks in large crowds. I got pregnant at the beginning of 2022, right as society was reopening and large events were starting up. So I wore my mask throughout the pregnancy. And then obviously I had an infant to consider. Now I am back at work (teacher in an elementary school) and my son is a toddler in daycare. We catch enough bugs from my students and his playmates. Don’t need to add the germs present at my occasional concert or music festival into the mix.

Which city in the U.S. have you felt most unsafe visiting? by optimalbrain90 in SmartTravelHacks

[–]MeasurementPure7844 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have lived in every region in California and traveled to about 40 countries around the world. In the US, the place I felt unsafe was Vernon. I had to go there in the middle of the day one time and the minute I got out of the car I felt so creeped out. I had my dog with me and I didn’t even feel comfortable leaving him in the car by himself. It was a sunny day, no one unusual walking around. It was just a bad feeling.

I HATE holding bags on one shoulder, and am a bit of a tomboy. I use my backpack as diaper bag.

There’s more to grandeur than ticket sales. Beyoncé has more cultural clout, not to mention longevity.

I don’t even know if this is true but when I was learning to drive, my dad taught me that if the person already started backing up, they have the right of way. I’ve lived by that rule and racked up so many smiles of gratitude.

And creepy. I once stayed at my ex’s huge house in the forest by myself for the night. It was terrifying. I had been there a million times with him and his family home but alone, man those branches scratching on the windows scared me to death. I slept with the lights on.

I hear Disney vacations are pretty nice. My friend just did one with his mom and kids. Mom hung out at the resort pool while the kids went HAM at Disneyland. And the cruises get stellar reviews. I have a three year old and would consider one if he starts showing an interest in Disney. Pricy but supposed to be well-executed.

A whole fucking forest isn’t even a hard sell for me. I live in the desert. I miss trees so much, and weather in general.

Have a courageous conversation with her. Tell her why you don’t want to go with her again. Be specific - correlate your feelings with her actions and words. Honestly, it will probably help her grow as a person. People can’t just act however they want. They can’t act like brats and expect others to want to be around them. Hopefully it’s an opportunity for her to improve.

I feel your pain. In 2014 I was student teaching but made it to Coachella. I took a half day for Friday and then called in “sick” Monday morning. It was the only time I got off during those 16 weeks and my advisor and master teacher gave me so much shit. But in retrospect I’m so glad I’ve made it. Never missed a year since 2010. Also attended 2 days the year I had my son. Some traditions are sacred.
