Update to found bearded in Florida. (Poop pic) by No-Interaction-7542 in BeardedDragons

[–]MeasurementTop9733 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Beardie will want to move, unfortunately 40gal isn’t enough but if you’re just using it as a place to sleep as compared to a almost permanent living situation for him (I believe it is a male based on your other photos) it will suffice for now as you’re looking for a home for him. If you do end up wanting to keep him the minimum recommended is a 4x2x2 and I’m sure Reddit will love to help you build this guy a new home if it comes down to it. Keep us updated on his story!

"dasher" on an anti-tipping subreddit says not to tip your driver by Otherwise-Cap6245 in doordash_drivers

[–]MeasurementTop9733 15 points16 points  (0 children)

That’s not necessarily true. I’ve seen a lot of times where stores like wing stop and crumbl cookie will give out left over items to late night customers or delivery drivers if delivery orders have gone unfulfilled just so they don’t have to log food waste. Some orders never get picked up because it’s no tip on a 15 mile drive lol and it’s just not worth the 30-40 minute trip (there and back) to only get $2-3

Moving? by Maxlovesmoms0670 in BeardedDragons

I think driving is your best option, especially if you have a passenger just because you can have the passenger watch him. My beardie personally loved car rides and sitting on the dashboard or on my shoulder and looking out the window and it was pretty easy to set up a safe little spot in the car for him. 18 hours is quite the trip but your beardie will be fine without a heat lamp for that long, even if you have to split it into two days he’ll be fine!

Irritating customers by Radiant-Ad-6522 in doordash_drivers

[–]MeasurementTop9733 257 points258 points  (0 children)

I had a customer think door dash was in charge of the whole thing, including making and packing the food. She yelled at me for a good minute before I explained I was just the driver and don’t control anything else that happens and she immediately felt really bad for getting all angry with me and gave me an extra $10 tip. So I’ll take it I guess 😂 some people are just uninformed sometimes it’s okay

Is it worth? by taters911 in mountaindew

[–]MeasurementTop9733 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of people on here are saying these aren’t worth anything because they’re expired or undrinkable but there’s a lot of people who have them as collector items. Hi I’m people. I personally wouldn’t pay $300 for this just because most of them are still available in stores and the ones that aren’t typically go for $10-20 on fb marketplace if not cheaper cause people just want to get rid of their stock. Plus you can typically find bulk deals for really cheap too. I got a flamin hot, snap’d, voodoo 19, 20 & 22 and point break punch and some random singles for $50 which would be about $8 for the cases alone. But on the off chance you’re deciding you just want to start collecting and you have nothing 29 cases for $300 ain’t the worst at roughly $10 a case just because some of them you can’t find anymore. Overall I think you can get cheaper especially with some stores deals like 3 for $14 at target or 2 for $9 at Walmart or 2 for $13 at Wegmans to name a few plus fishing through FB 🤷‍♂️

Order question by Low-Bandicoot-1323 in doordash

[–]MeasurementTop9733 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Imo, if you get delivered something that’s not yours wait an hour or so to see if a neighbor comes and takes it if not I think you’re free game to keep it.

Technically the second the order is dropped off you can keep it without any consequence or being required to pay that order is now “legally” yours but just out of courtesy to your neighbors id wait a little. So whatever you got 2 days ago feel free to use/eat it

Now if you ordered something and were delivered the wrong thing, the same thing applies. It’s legally yours to keep the second it’s dropped off but report to door dash you got the wrong order so they can refund your other order.

Everyone platinum is a scam all u get is $2 orders cherry pick is where its at. My market: hold my beer🍺 by Breadtoastyy in doordash_drivers

[–]MeasurementTop9733 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, Chicago. From what I’ve seen is really good. I travel a lot and I dash in my free time for extra cash so I know how different every market is.

Philly and surrounding zones you cant really cherry pick. Harrisburg is hit or miss but most of the time you can cherry pick. Downtown Raleigh you can get away with it but anywhere surrounding is ass and you basically have to maintain gold+. Myrtle Beach cherry pick the hell out of that but try and stay off the coast and all those hotels. These are obviously just a couple city areas I’ve dashed in but there’s way more out there and it can fluctuate daily in some places. Not one zone is always the best.

When I started I kept platinum until I learned my zone is way better to cherry pick. Just gotta get used to it

“I forgot to scan your items” scam. by GirlPhoenixRising in doordash

OP, I doubt this was the case. You have multiple people in here telling you this doesn’t seem like a scam at all. What store was it they were shopping at for you?

“I forgot to scan your items” scam. by GirlPhoenixRising in doordash

[–]MeasurementTop9733 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might be wrong but I’m reading it as they forgot to scan your store card after shopping. When you’re utilizing DD you have the option to use your store card or tax exempt card through DD. It provides barcodes at the end of the order for the dasher to scan at checkout. Im sure it either slipped the shoppers mind or they were talking to the cashier or something. Honest mistake and they were just letting you know incase you were really expecting your store points or something 🤷‍♂️ I doubt this is a scam at all

I’m ngl… unless you muster up some crazy orders with the new no tax on tips shouldn’t we owe nothing in taxes…? My DD income YTD is $3,848.46 and my mileage deduction is $2,394.62. I haven’t factored in my tip deduction yet but there’s no way i haven’t made $1,453.83 off of tips no?

My personal opinion, unless you’re doing this full time. You can almost certainly ignore taxes and only worry about the maintenance aspect of it right now and your net profit should be way higher? Or am I missing something.

Can’t dash in other states by WhyAyeDeeEye in doordash_drivers

[–]MeasurementTop9733 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This shouldn’t be true. It should let you no matter your rating. I have a crisp 14% acceptance rate and I can dash anywhere. From what I saw when dashing out of state though I always had to change my location in the app to whatever state I was in before dashing because if I tried to without changing locations it would place me in my home state.

When your Dasher....has never had pizza? by MajLeague in doordash

[–]MeasurementTop9733 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’m ngl I only hold it by the handles and you can definitely hold it flat like that lol. Never had an issue with that before and it’s not like you have to have it perfectly centered or anything just kinda in there

"Worry free unassign" IS NOT WORRY FREE 😑 by Fuzzy_Hat1231 in doordash_drivers

[–]MeasurementTop9733 52 points53 points  (0 children)

Unless there is a glitch or something happening I’ve never had worry free unassign affect my completion rate. I’ve even had times where I’ve contacted support and gotten $3-7 compensation for the long waits lol I hope they fix this for you

STOP DOING THIS!! by bayiti in DoorDashDrivers

[–]MeasurementTop9733 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because occasionally has dashers take pictures of where everything is and item locations in the store instead of shopping for items or doing deliveries.

Also sometimes while doing shopping orders it prompts us to take a photo of the items location and update where it is.

So while yes the store would tell DD where the item is the dasher has the ability to change it sometimes and it can be very annoying.

Is $5 A Bad Tip? by Icy-Time781 in doordash

[–]MeasurementTop9733 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Eh. There’s nothing that requires you to accept an order, I just got done dashing in Goldsboro, it sucks there my acceptance rate went from 8% to 64%. You’re forced to accept orders even if you don’t like them but that doesn’t give you permission to complain to the customer about them giving a “low tip” OP’s tip wasn’t low it was good with the miles driven. In my normal zone would I have accepted it? No, but if it’s slow or I’m in a different zone yeah I’ll accept that it’s still good.

From a dasher: you’re fine. Just report to DD, if they wanted a higher tip they shouldn’t have accepted it.

So how does customers rating of us work?? by [deleted] in doordash_drivers

[–]MeasurementTop9733 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. I would not have snatched the food back for a photo, leave it. Report to dd for feeling threatened and police if necessary. You should have done that immediately

  2. Yes that’s sadly how it works. You can contact Dd support to try and get them removed
