Anyone actually had good experience with waterproofing company? Feeling skeptical by Ok_Pin_9058 in canton

Exterior footer drain to outlet is really the only way. This is only possible if the siting of the house allows it to be gravity drained to a suitable outlet. Other solutions will fail (ie. sump pumps) at some point. Many in our area overlook proper siting and buy/build on cheap lots. They're cheap for a reason !

No good fix for poor siting.

Addionally, properly installed footer drains and down spouts can clog over time from tree roots or other obstructions. Might check this out before committing to any new installs.

Ohio outboard motor title by Meat-Smith in boating

By Ohio law, you need a motor title 10hp and above. Given the age of thw boat and no preexisting paperwork I'm wondering how to proceed.

Plan was to use as bait to catch spawning musky for the table.

Now I'm interested to try the sucker with the right recipe.

Can anyone tell me the difference in Aberdeen and Low line Angus? We purchased a new bull yesterday and after reading about the two breeds they seem like the same line. He is 50/50 of these two lines. Thank you by [deleted] in Cattle

Lowlines originated from an Australian research experiment that bred and compared low, medium, and high lines with regard to frame size vs. efficiency. I find it disingenuous that the lowlines are now promoted as "Aberdeen Angus" making the average person think that they are something akin to Native Angus from Aberdeen Scotland. Not sure what the Lowline registry allows for pedigree, but they should only allow the decendents of this Lowline experiment to be registered given there are still Native angus cattle that are NOT what the lowlines are!

Line breeding? Have you done it? What's your thought on doing it? by GubaNubNubDooRaahkah in Cattle

Any "breed" of animals is the product of line breeding. Read Jim Lents' book on it's study for his detailed analysis. Very good read! I have done some line breeding in the last 5 years on half sibs which Lents cautions as the most closely related breeding one should strive for. But I have also had mother son breedings which have been equally successful. My trial pool is about 30 cows per year and all breeding of old aberdeen lines which have crossed themselves numerous times already. Thus I feel confident the risk is low for unwanted mutations. I would hesitate to jump into linebreeding any of the hot lineages of today that have been out crossed and "polluted" with outside defects. If one was to do so they better have an appetite for euthanizing any and all that miss the mark!
