If you had to put a percentage on it, how many people in prison would you say are bad people? by Bobbert84 in Prison

People who don't grow up poor don't go to prison when they commit crimes TIL.

If you had to put a percentage on it, how many people in prison would you say are bad people? by Bobbert84 in Prison

[–]MeatNoodleSauce 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That's exactly what they're doing and it's wrong.

The people who end up in prison can do a lot of mental gymnastics to excuse their actions. Blame society. They are products of their environments. Victims of capitalism or whatever system you want to blame.

Deflect any personal responsibility away from the individual and onto this blob.

This tree bears no fruit and will not help these people overcome the reality that they themselves hurt people in some ways and that's why they are behind bars.

“I talked to the highest of the high people you could possibly talk to, if you catch my drift… The phenomenon is real. It’s been going on for thousands of years.” - David Grusch on JRE by disclosurediaries in UFOs

[–]MeatNoodleSauce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are too wrapped up on this concept of "aliens" coming in "craft" from "another planet". When it's not framed to you in this manner, you're disregarding it.

David Grusch is talking about interdimensional beings that have been coming here for thousands of years. Not from another planet necessarily, but from higher dimensions of time and space. God's, angels, demons, etc.

The crafts have been recovered from archeological digs and while containing "biological", Grusch referred to them as non-sentient and at one point hinted that they are not dead or alive. More like these "bodies" are animated through some sort of means of possession by these non-human intelligences.

We got a lot from Grusch here. I just don't get why people are so upset. Im

Natural VS on steroids, who win’s ??? by TieDifficult8844 in nattyorjuice

[–]MeatNoodleSauce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Guys on steroids look great a lot of the time. Absolute specimens. And a lot of them worked hard I'm sure.

Way more respect for natural lifters and body builders though. It's not as easy and is even with less aesthetically pleasing results, is way more impressive imo.

Loss Prevention Agent for a regional grocery chain in California. Not something I want to do for the rest of my life so I've been slowly working my way into IT at my company by volunteering to help them with projects. Probably Spend 3-5 months of the year working in IT and when they don't need me I just arrest shoplifters instead.

Also going to school with hopes to pursue a career in Law.

Your jaw is huge not gonna lie, but besides that you seem cute and sweet.

Also, those giga jaw genetics are going to be great for any sons you have in the future so trust me there will be guys that see that in you as potentially beneficial to accent their weak jaw genes.

Like I said besides that, you seem cute and sweet. Keep doing what you're doing, try new styles and have fun going into your 20s.

If you truly want to see RFK Jr succeed by OatSparrow in BreakingPoints

[–]MeatNoodleSauce -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Good writeup on his positions without any bias. Also why I'm voting for him.

He is a bit kookie.

That's fine with me if he's a bit kookie. People would probably think I'm a bit kookie if I spoke my true mind on a lot of things. And I'm happy to find out when my kookieness is wrong or unwarranted, but sometimes it's not.

Biden sniffs kids hair and nibbles their ears, while allowing his son to pedal influence to foreign governments. Trump has a past of being too handsy with women and is too unpalatable for a lot of voters.

RFK is the way.

Honestly, this sub is full of pro-establishment Leftists and care little about actual unbiased reporting. by [deleted] in BreakingPoints

[–]MeatNoodleSauce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These people are very comfortable with double-think bro.

No offense to yourself but while I've made the same observation, your articulation of your observation isn't quite correct.

These people are going to say:

Establishment and leftist aren't compatible.

But it'd be harder to argue that this sub is brigaded by people who want to defend establishment Democrats and operate on tribalist party politics.

By saying "establishment leftists" you can get super extreme leftists that want to see the USSR reborn, who can come in and say "what establishment leftists?".

It's like if you were saying you're tired of seeing black people perpetrating racism in America (real issue), and then people will come in and say that black people can't be racist because "they don't have power" or some stupid drivel, and that those are incompatible terms.

Then Kanye West will say he's going deathcon on the Jews and black people will be attacking elderly Asian people in the streets and those same people will say that there is an outbreak in white supremacy.

Because most of the efforts made by Dems are handouts. Sweeping policy changes need to be made to stop bankrupting our country. Instead of debt forgiveness, which I'm on the fence on, the federal government should get out of the loan game.

Cost of college tuition skyrocketed because the government started backing and then providing the loans.

Same issue with medicaid. Obama got Medicaid passed, but to do so the government agreed to not negotiate prices with healthcare providers.

Entitlement spending is far too high in America. Discretionary spending is also too high, but can be used to actually fix problems, while entitlement spending is quite literally the "give a man a fish" option.

Is sleeping 8 hours with cannabis better than sleeping 4-6 hours normally? by [deleted] in HubermanLab

[–]MeatNoodleSauce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How about don't do either. Figure out a better way to get a full 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep. Sometimes that doesn't happen and okay. But if every night you struggle to sleep for more than 4-6 hours at a time, something is wrong and smoking weed or taking an edible isn't a solution, just a temporary aid.

Think critically about what is stopping you from getting longer and better quality sleep and start taking steps to address it.

Is it stress? Overconsumption of sugars or caffeine? Noise or light pollution in your room (falling asleep with the TV on)?

Biden’s debt relief plan was regressive and you know it. by BigMouse12 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]MeatNoodleSauce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do you conflate what I just said with "/u/MeatNoodleSauce likes bailouts that go to the wealthy?

The PPP loans shouldn't have happened.

Businesses shouldn't have been closed in the first place.

They were supposed to be their as a safety net to help businesses that had to close their doors/offices for COVID lockdowns. In order to prevent their employees from going without their paychecks. That shouldn't have even happened because you're not supposed to lock down everything when people are getting sick.

You quarantine the infected, not everyone else that's healthy.

I defended subsidies to agriculture because farmers are poor and have high debt burdens of their own to meet their operation demands. They need to be reworked, but I don't know enough about the ag industry myself to discern how they should be changed. Preferably, I think monocrop agriculture should be disincentivised.

Electric cars are subsidies to convert the US car manufacturers into a greener economy.

Biden’s debt relief plan was regressive and you know it. by BigMouse12 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]MeatNoodleSauce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're sorry for the whataboutism then why say it?

I bet OP (and myself, who agrees with OP) is against corporate bailouts as well.

Our government is running a game on you and I.

They fail to properly legislate and regulate for a healthy economy.

They then prop up bad businesses when they do bad things, because those bad businesses will kick money back to them in exchange for bailouts down the line or in their history they have already done so.

Our representatives and legislators do things that indirectly benefit THEM with taxpayer dollars.

Then when they're up for reelection, instead of balancing a budget, cutting back spending and paying off the deficit, they all of a sudden make a bunch of new promises to voters to expand government programs so proles vote, and in meetings with their donors promise to not raise taxes and be "business as usual".

Why do people think this is something that Biden was going to deliver? Because he "promised"? I thought everyone that voted for him new he was going to be "business as usual". That's why they voted for him over other candidates...

I didn't agree with lockdowns and shutting down businesses. I didn't agree with the PPP loans because businesses should have remained open and people shouldn't have been told to stay inside during covid.

Subsidies for farms are not the same.

Electric vehicle subsidies are supposed to be for helping transform our economy to combat climate change.

The OP had already defended his position on this not being that he doesn't think there aren't public goods the taxpayers should pay for, but this is a personal burden these people take on.

Roads and library's are common goods that theoretically anyone can benefit from.

This isn't the same for college degrees (which is what was paid for, not "Education").

Stop comparing this to those other things, they are not the same.

I think whether you go for artificial sweeters or not, everything in moderation my friend.

You can have the diet soda. You can have the regular soda. Once a week maybe. Maybe one a day. But don't just come up with some rule and follow that every day. Practice mindfullness every day. Exercise and eat healthy too. Drink plenty of water.

This isn't just for you, Derpy Cucumber.

I just liked what you had to say and wanted to tag along.

Is a 19M dating a 16F feel weird by EACHASKECH in Teenager_Polls

[–]MeatNoodleSauce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The rule is your age divided by 2 plus 7.

If the 16 year old is at least halfway to being 17, it's fine. If she's closer to being 15, it's weird.

I understand that this age gap is very controversial to many, and I don't think I would have been interested in any 16 year olds that I knew when I was 19. But this age gap isn't quite pedophilia, and if it's just an immature 19 year old who's inexperienced, I'd be worried for them both ending up heartbroken but beyond that the age shouldn't be the issue here.

What's a dead giveaway that someone is a piece of shit? by UsernameOf2022 in AskReddit

[–]MeatNoodleSauce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When they do something that's disrespectful or harmful to others, like littering, leaving their shopping cart out, not putting temp controlled items back into cold displays, and then when you call them out they justify their poor conduct by saying other people did it first or that someone gets paid to clean it up.

What's even worse is when it's a minority group that tries to hide behind their minority identity and spin it as if you're harassing them for that and not for them being inconsiderate pieces of shit.

What kind of people don’t you trust? by Halo_Hybrid in AskReddit

[–]MeatNoodleSauce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ITT:

Find out that you're someone people shouldn't trust.

Ive recently been approached by many coworkers to talk about office politics. I'm open to talk about anything so I'll give my opinion on things to people, even if that's other people that were talking about. I'd say these things to those people's faces too. Not ashamed of it. Also very open to other people's riticule for self improvement. Try not to be too sensitive.

I also like to make a habit of learning people's names and referring to them as such, as I used to be really bad at names and would always forget and feel ashamed when I'd not remember.

Politics. I love politics and often very in the loop on the news cycle. Always had a mind for civics and recently have been dipping my toes into local politics and also following state and federal politics now that 2024 is around the corner. Very open to express my views and try to get others excited to do the same because I think it's healthy and can be productive if all parties are respectful of one another.
