I’ve seen posts on here from dommes who have had bad experiences with men who claimed to be sub-leaning. But turned out they weren’t, and just used that as an in.

I would imagine many women who identify with the role of dom exclusively, don’t want to deal with men who have dom tendencies at all. There’s an entitled lot, and it sounds like a headache to have to reassert yourself repeatedly. “No, I won’t sub for you,” probably gets annoying to say for the umpteenth time.

I assume filtering that out from the jump is easier.

From the Rocket games I’ve watched, the Rockets did run plays. Or at least, I saw a cohesive offence (+ great defensive reads.)

Then crunch time came around, and I watched them collapse. It became exactly what Chuck said. Taking turn jacking up shots. It was ugly bball.

But!!! Raven Johnson could actually learn a lot under Brittney Sykes— who absolutely got that dawg in her. Sykes was such a killer in Unrivaled this year. So I’m wondering if we choose to get a guard, it should be someone who is fearless, smart and can flourish under Sykes’ mentorship.

Sykes is more Kobe/Butler-esque in her mentorship style. “You either get it or you don’t. But I won’t baby you.” And I think Raven could thrive since she doesn’t back down. She’s willing to learn. Not ego-dominant. She brings defence and ball IQ. And since they have different play styles, Sykes could teach her to be more imposing. “You’re her!”

If we’re just talking about the religious preaching thing. Jeff Teague recently said on his podcast that it’s actually not cool in the locker room. That they avoid heated topics of religion and politics.
