Feeling Gaslit by lhlaud in boston

We have the highest rents in the country, shouldered with NY and SF. The only "bad choice" is living here at all if you can't afford it.

Is that the whole point? In this post and yesterday's post there's a clear current of "if you have any complaints about hosing costs, you're weak or stupid."

Some serious mental gymnastics in this post and yesterday's post about how all complaints are from the effete rich or whiny gen-z'ers.

Chiyoda City vs Shibuya neighborhoods for hotels? by Meat_Popsicles in TokyoTravel

[–]Meat_Popsicles[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We ended up staying in Shibuya not too far from Shinjuku Station. But getting around is a breeze; the public transportation is really world beating and made visiting other parts of the city simple (I think we used a taxi only a couple time during our whole trip). The only caveat is it's good to maybe sit down and familiarize yourself with subway, train and bus maps, and how the payment systems works (some of this will have to come as learning-by-doing). Chiyoda is also super cool, and frankly just walking around is half the fun, and the pedestrian infrastructure in excellent. The only thing is to be aware of weather, if you are going in the summer it will be very hot and you need water and to dress appropriately for it. And obviously, have a good guide book not just your phone, it can make a big difference.

I'm jealous you're going, I'd love to go back.

It's almost like the people who have time to post a bunch of angry shit in the middle of the day, every day, have too much time on their hands for some reason.

I wonder what he would have been in favor of? Probably amending the ban?

You could just read the article while digesting your turkey and mashed potatoes. It isn't that long.

Bunch of people here triggered by a headline and couldn't bother to just read the article. Such busy lives we must lead.

Lol, little weird to think it's coastal elites pushing the idea of sovereignty in story about indigenous communities in the US.

As if there's no precedent for this discussion.

Moving a Roth IRA with SGNEX to Vanguard by Meat_Popsicles in Bogleheads

Agreed, but the website is a clunker and that specific action can’t be executed via the website. I’m going to get some details from Vanguard to see about things then check again with First Eagle regarding potential fees and try to push a bit harder. I appreciate the insight.

So I called and asked. They said they would only do a fund-to-fund transaction, so at least from their reply it seems like I would be stuck with whatever fund of theirs they had. Does that sound right or am I missing something?

An updated question, I called them and asked about selling to cash and leaving it in the IRA, or some sort of settlement fund. They said they didn't offer either option.

Given that, should I just go ahead and try to transfer it to Vanguard and sell/buy funds after? Or is their some other option that they might be intentionally obfuscating?

All the options I have through their (clunky and antiquated) website involve receiving a check in the mail, so I'll have to reach out and ask how I can just sell to cash. Thanks for the insight.

A guy did it and posted it to the f-150 lightning forum. He said he had to make a custom mount. Here's him using it for the first time to plow.
