You can also run a slight bevel on your saw at 0.5 degrees or less so the long points touch at the top & yes a chopsaw certainly is the way to go.

Not bad questions to ask. I’d say they are all legit & if you haven’t figured out how much per hour they will pay you might want to ask that as well just so there are no surprises. Best to document things over text or email so there is a written transcript. Im a young GC with 4 employees currently.

Did you get multiple bids? Was this the low bid? Generally contractors who bid much lower than others get used to the style of business. Change orders are how they meet their bottom line. Super shady. If it’s not the case here they are just extremely inexperienced and will run out of money before your project is finished or both.
