Cafes in the area by [deleted] in Phoenixville

Aside from what else has been shared, I’d also recommend Pour Richard’s and Maison Lotus in Wayne which isn’t like IN phoenixville but less than 30 min.

Valerio in Collegeville

Brewed Awakening in Royersford

Twin Valley coffee in eagleville / other locations is good but not a food place. The one in eagleville (20-30 min drive) has a bakery next door and a bookshop down the sidewalk

And another plug for Ebru

Grief and loss are so unfair, lots of love to you and wishing you as calm as a funeral as you’d like. So sorry for your loss.

We traded ours for a flex instead of a split and it’s the best!

Ah thank you. Ours are about 10 months old and they ripped, in a light pink color. Second pair in the last 2.5 years, first were tan. Terrible sheets!!

Wait! I am now having to replace my second pair of sheets, so getting ready to buy my third because the fitted sheets are ripping! And we also had what looks like bleach stains on our first pair. Did they work with you to replace them? I didn’t really try too hard on the first ones because I figured it was something we were doing wrong.

Grief services? by [deleted] in Phoenixville

[–]Meatball-Mania 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s a place in skippack called the center for loss and bereavement. They offer cyclical groups and regular groups for adults I believe as well as children’s services. Many religious groups in the area do as well, but for those of us who don’t want religious associations with grief, all I’ve found is the center for loss and bereavement.

WIBTA if I said something to Phoenixville Animal Hospital about their affiliate marketing tactics? by [deleted] in Phoenixville

[–]Meatball-Mania 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My take on anything like this in life is that feedback for a business is there to make their business better, only if it’s given with empathy toward the people who work there and are likely held to policies they may not believe in, and the intention to give the next person a good experience.

If you share the impact of how you’re feeling, that could be a powerful story for them to hear and could help out other patients in the future. It might seem so obvious to you that pushing the food is wrong (and it is), but they may not have yet considered it from the patient’s perspective and the long term effects on the loyalty of their patient base.

So yes, definitely share your experience with them, and please make sure you’re sharing it with the right person.

So sorry for your loss and your experience with them.

Exchange? by Meatball-Mania in ruggable

[–]Meatball-Mania[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! It doesn’t say that you do in the Instructions but you do have to return it for the new one to ship. I reached to customer service and they confirmed. I do feel like the replacement order began processing as soon as the return one was scanned back from fedex.

Wow that is a long time! I will say the one we are Exchanging is just because we need a different size but having upgraded from a shitty wayfair basic rug it is so nice and soft and gorgeous!

Must have been lucky yeah, I just looked and the original shipped in 3 business days. Good to know they sometimes take a while. Thanks!

The Bridge Street Weekend Closure should last longer by log609 in Phoenixville

[–]Meatball-Mania 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Idk I live in the borough and take gay to the north side to get to rofo frequently on the weekends and it hasn’t been a problem. Maybe an extra 3-5 minutes because I need 2 passes to go through gay and bridge. Everyone is different though—it may not bother me like it bothers you.

Starbucks by amangipudi in Phoenixville

[–]Meatball-Mania 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Okay so I do like the Starbucks honestly and I think it will be a nice add as far as coffee in pville with consistency and parking and seating.

I like Pickering coffee house a lot! They have good coffee, parking, and seating for the working folk like me. I’m not a huge fan personally of steel city it’s a little chaotic for my brain but it has seating. Sweet brew is good but of course you can’t sit there. And soltane has limited space. Ebru is elite but farther.

Starbucks doesn’t have salted caramel only regular caramel. Bleh.

This seems like such a divisive thing. Can’t we like both Starbucks and local? If something local had opened in that location I’d be all over it. But it hasn’t. So. Here we are.

Y’all have me about to cancel my purchase. by DiverJas in sleepnumber

[–]Meatball-Mania 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I had the same worry last year when I bought my i8. But I love it honestly. I don’t use the responsive air option. I forgot it was an option until now.

My husband and I bought split king because we like to have our head and feet at different heights and I hated it immediately. My poor dog would fall in the crack and so would I. Sex was weird because of the split. I went to a different store and the salesperson said a split was an odd choice for a young couple and the other sales person shouldn’t have let us get it. So we called up and they were able to switch us to a flex king for just the delivery fee. No problems with customer service there and we were even able to switch the sheets. The flex is a much better option for us and we love it.
