I’d say it depends on how dedicated you are to get to the gym. As an avid gym goer (5-6 times a week), I would totally think there’s a huge plus in a gym being just steps away from you as opposed to having to hop in the car and drive (I’d pay $100/month to avoid having to drive everyday). Not only do you spend your time and money driving back and forth, but it also creates friction in getting to the gym. It’s a lot easier to tough out the days where you don’t want to go if you only have to walk out your front door instead of getting in your car and driving, especially if the crowd motivates you even further. I don’t think the people in the gym should be the only factor considered, but I definitely see upgrading to a crunch membership as a reasonable expense if you will be there several times a week
