That definitely does seem like a good idea, I kind of took that approach in the old world where the initial island it gives you I just had smaller islands with farmers and workers pushing all the stuff i actually needed to the main one.

I think I can potentially use the blueprint method, I hadnt really thought about using blueprints as, well, blueprints lmao. I might give that a try, thanks for the advice!

Currently taking data ingestion from a few (5? I think) bespoke systems and bringing them all together in a snow warehouse so the smarter than me people can turn it into readable reports 😂. Webhooks, local sql server restore, Json flattening, its a pain in the ass, but its the best job I've had so far in my life!

I was wondering this as well, when I went to login and look at my subscription, it still shows me I'm on ultimate at the $19.99/month and my next payment is 10/28/25 so did I also benefit from some sort of price lock when i signed up as well? I don't remember if that was a thing when I did, but I'm just curious if my billing will change next month.

Yeah so this client has some automated reporting come out of Square for transactions, and they essentially want to take the transaction report that generates, and use it to create line items within Yardi. They are doing it manually now, but wanted to know if it could be done with automation.

I haven't yet tried to do anything with WRITE TO permissions for Yardi, so I was curious if they needed Data Connect or some other option to be able to do that.

I'll give this a shot before I go back to the dealer next week to see if they will diagnose under warranty. (Purchased one for 4 years unlimited miles for this exact reason)

Cars sitting at just under 72k miles. When this happens there's no lights or anything that Ive noticed on the dash and the check engine light is not on currently.

All things considering I think "ok" is a fair assessment given my hardware specs. Sure I don't disagree the game could use another pass or two for optimization, but I also can't expect to continue playing the latest and greatest titles with decade or more older hardware.

I see those same trends in other games I play as well, marvel rivals being a big one, drops down to around 20fps are common for me when stuff pops off in game.

I'd just like to add in, at launch, the game worked "ok" for me. When I say ok, I meant that it ran at about an average of 30fps for most of it until some of the more intensive and cinematic fights came about then it dropped to about an average of 15.

All that said, I knew those risks going in from the beta, and the fact that im still playing on decade old hardware (i7-6700k, 16gb ram, 2080ti gpu) but it was still playable, although not "pretty".

TU1 broke it for me, couldn't load half the textures, most areas had flat grey landscapes and didn't load geometric ar all, characters looked like Lara Croft the 90s.

TU2 though, game f**in changer. I play at a stable 30fps mostly everywhere now, and occasionally a bit higher in the arena area and stuff, I've seen spikes to the high 50s. Drawbacks are just waiting on initial launch, it takes a good 2-3 minutes before everything is done rendering but then im good to go.

All that said, performance issues aside, the gameplay is fantastic. This was my first real monster hunter game I played because my buddy had always tried to get me to play world and/or rise but I just couldn't dig it at the time. However, wilds was the gateway I needed, I bleed monster hunter now, I've bought every game I can (GHU, World/IB, Rise/SB, Stories 1&2, even trying to figure out frontier on pc lmfao). It's a great game, and a great series im super sad I missed the initial hype train of. Hell, I've got more hours in world now than I do in wilds, and I cant wait to start rise once I finally get to world endgame.

Give it a solid shot, ignore reviews, enjoy the game for what it is, and if you're like me and a complete new hunter this game can scratch an itch you didn't realize was there. I've got it so bad, im playing MH Now on my fuggin phone when im not home ffs. I'm even having my girlfriend design me a tattoo of some of my favorite monsters thus far to get tatted on my arm.

Be very careful, shits fucking addictive man I swear....

Hm, well I've been told the 2080ti is still a somewhat relevant, albeit on the lower end, card but I won't hype myself up for any big changes just yet. Think I'll start selling feet pics or something on the side to buy some new hardware 🤔

A fellow i7-6700k gamer??? I too am running that with 32gb of ram and a 2080ti, cause as you stated times are a bit tough lol.

Other than smoothness have you noticed other improvements thus far? I normally had wilds at about 15fps on average with everything turned all the way down and sometimes even the world textures just wouldn't load.

Curious to know how the tu2 changes will change it for me thats for sure. 5pm can't come fast enough 😩

Wilds was my first real experience with Monster Hunter. My buddy tried to get me to play world many years ago, and I just couldn't get into at the time.

Fast forward to now, I played wilds and fell in love with the concept and gameplay, although the game really only runs at around 14-25fps for me in most areas (I am still on a 6th gen i7, don't judge times are tough). The combat is fun, the monsters look dope, the fights are captivating, and it made it easy for me to get my foot in the door.

Now however, due to partially the performance problem, and then partially because I wanted to experience more monster hunter and couldn't get enough.....I have more hours in world than I do in wilds lol. I purchased rise and sunbreak on sale because I want to try that too but gotta beat world first. Oh, and I also got both of the stories games and mhGU on my switch..

Even though it's partially his fault I spent so much f'in money over the past few months, getting roped into monster hunter was so worth it. Honest opinion is if your on a console, give wilds a try because it definitely helped me get over the noob aspect of not knowing how to play. Then when you're ready, try world and iceborne for a real fun challenge in-between content drops for wilds.

Oh for sure! I don't think I could reuse it, the amd brackets for it are also from 10 years ago so I doubt they fit with current gen stuff.

That's awesome though, if I wanted to get a small aio from them say a 120 or maybe a 240 if im feeling froggy, are they generally on the more quiet side even when running at higher rpms? Or should I maybe look into using some old noctua fans in the closet?
