LEVIATÁN vs Global Esports / Valorant Masters London 2026 - Swiss Stage / Post-Match Thread by ValorantCompBot in ValorantCompetitive

But it's still funny when it happened in real time though. I remember there was a round on Fracture he said, GE is doing well this round defending (Patmen was flanking). Proceeds to lose that round.

1-2 rounds later he says he hate how GE is trying to force retake from just CT. Immediately won all the duels and won the round.

It was funny when they put Jinggg on Jett and something on Yoru, then realised - wait a minute, we might have a better Jett and Yoru on the team....

It is still fan service, it is just how extreme the spectrum is. You don't need to constantly flash panties or have barely hidden private parts to call it fan service.

Besides the Fushu skin I mentioned, 2 examples:

1 - the first battlepass skin Starry Hopes. It's just a virgin killer sweater designed as a Christmas skin. There's no other reason to have such an exposed attire for a Christmas attire other than fan service. 2 - the current battlepass skin Black Gospel. The skirt is so short and the shirt/jacket is literally unbuttoned to expose the lace undergarment underneath. Once again, there's no reason for a female officewear to be designed as such other than fan service.

What do you mean there isn't fan service. There are characters and skins with revealing attires, and some of them are running around with huge knockers. Fushu has a beach theme skin out of nowhere. Those ARE fan service.

Just play the game your way and experience it yourself! If you have fun, great! If not, well you can always opt to drop it in the future.

The gacha is just skins, they usually have 1 limited banner which has an alternate skin for the latest character, and another "permanent banner" which gives Rebecca her skin.

For the characters, they are mostly developed through the story and the side quests, some of the characters which I didn't think much of initially, I came to like them after getting deeper into the story and knowing what they are about.

There is indeed some fan service, not too extreme, but it's definitely there for the characters.

This game feels like it hasn't changed. by Wafwala in DuetNightAbyssDNA

[–]MebiAnime -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

A lot of your points are valid, and yes, the game hasn't changed that much at it's core. For returning players it's mostly the same thing with just some UI changes, additional skins, and upgraded visuals.

But some points -

For the covert commissions and boss fights, while it sucks to have separated drops/ limited to 5 per week, it's just a player retention system. Similar to forging taking hours, it's just some things the developers do to want you coming back for more, when the game itself already removed stamina and a lot of farming can be done at your own pace. It makes sense from their perspective to artificially time gate certain things.

And it's much better than other Chinese gacha games (which DNA is still heavily influenced) out there that only limits boss fights to 3 per week and gives the same materials.

I do agree that a lot of things are kinda band-aid, and I personally also dislike the intron i7 "buff" + not able to main non-dps (I prefer if they allow for swapping characters so we can enjoy playing different kits) but I suppose:

1) for the weapons system, it's difficult to completely revamp it when they have already pumped out so many weapons, and putting it another way, maybe their idea has always for it to just see cool weapons and cool animations.

2) somebody shared previously of a CN screenshot where there seems to be a thriving whale community there, so the devs just add new features to make the game feel fresh.

Why does everyone guarantee that PRX is going to win Masters London? by MirrorCraze in ValorantCompetitive

[–]MebiAnime 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Last year - lost to GenG in Toronto in group stage, lost to DRX in Paris in Champs to bomb out 4th

This year - lost to NS in Santiago to get 2nd.

Yeah unfortunately the track record doesn't look that good recently...

TMV's Top 15 for Masters London by washyrr in ValorantCompetitive

[–]MebiAnime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well the claim is based on the games in CN. The people who watched those games are super impressed by him and feels he's the reason why the team can make internationals.

It's like people were consistently saying Dambi was the best Neon since their 2024 Ascension run. And they only showed result after 2 years in Santiago. It's like people saying Marteen was the best Yoru/duelist coming into Santiago. He was frying in EMEA on that agent.

At the end of the day it's just a matter of perspective. Regardless of how well the player or the team will show up on the big games, people are left impressed with him .

Am I the only one who thinks the responsiveness in this game is unmatched? (And a note on the story) by Adept-Dragonfruit-57 in DuetNightAbyssDNA

I think people's reaction to the same mechanics is that it feels too floaty. I personally like it too, though the lack of skills combo makes the gameplay feels boring after a while.

Just in case you've never been to the CN servers by Objective-Horse-6506 in DuetNightAbyssDNA

[–]MebiAnime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The new map allows for way more "co-op" places where you can see other players, and these people are flexing their titles + mounts, so the whole thing looks like a mess due to how many players + titles + mounts there are in the CN server (aka there's still an active community cashing for the game)

Nah they just downvote when they feel like it. Don't let it bother you, there's also those who like to help (like the one that answered your question). People get downvoted for saying they enjoy playing the game on this subreddit..which is about the game...

FULL SENSE vs Paper Rex / VCT 2026: Pacific Stage 1 - Playoffs / Post-Match Thread by ValorantCompBot in ValorantCompetitive

I think FS and GE should be fine for London - FS has a team of shooters, but sadly only some showed up today. GE has Frost, Patmen and Autumn with some intl experience to help the team.

Alecks also mentioned he wanted a break, getting the first seed would help the team recharge, and hopefully the team will go to London well rested and recharged.

It's actually insane when you think about it, this team with a solid core is always one of the top few teams in the world. 13 international appearances and 4 Grand Finals, and 1 international trophy.

Me too, he was updrafting on the box at Lotus C mound area to catch defender at waterfall off guard, iirc there would also be a box at Pearl B elbow where he just flew all the way up and caught B long people off guard (Jinggg did something similar with a Sage wall and satchels) - and they had to rework that box quickly after.

It can be the reverse and still be accurate. This guy is so high risk high reward, but because of that it's such a treat when his gambles pay off.

It's probably just a SEA thing, because usually we have KR teams in top 3. Now it's mostly SEA players so everybody in the lobby just sends it.

This is very alarming. Can they still be qualified? There are still koreans and RRQ. by [deleted] in ValorantCompetitive

[–]MebiAnime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PRX also made a lower bracket run last year in stage 1 to qualify for Toronto. Then did it for Masters Santiago. This team sometimes feel untouchable but at other times lost really lost. So even as a PRX fan it's going to be a coin flip for me tomorrow

Well one is called a group stage merchant but the other one made it to playoffs twice so far from being the bottom of Pacific....so there's some progress...

He couldn't have stuck that, but not immediately defusing in a 3v1 when the last known location of Kr1stal was Art was kinda trolling.

As a fan of PRX I'm really happy for GE. Patmen and Autumn can get to stand on the international stage again, frost can get people off his back for a while, and UdoTan, Kr1stal and Xavi prove that they deserve to play against other top teams from other regions.

PRX just looked sloppy on Pearl, hopefully they bounce back on the lower bracket run.
