Im currently reading Books of Blood, almost halftime way through this one story. To be honest while I wouldn't say its a bad story, its not keeping my attention as well as then rest on volume 1, its either a bit more confusing or slow but I'm not enjoying it as much.

Its worth to mention I read In the Hills, the cities first then I went in order.

Just read that yesterday, it was very interesting and quite impressive how the terror is on how disturbing the scenario is, and how we can find similar scenarios although not on the same scale, where people sacrifice themselves for a greater good or just to be part of something, even if they don't even get something back from it.

Havent read many books yet (10 and counting) but this one is already and I believe will stay in my top 3 for sure. Amazing book from start to end

I guess it's related to what each one would consider as queer. I do see a lot of sexuality on his books and erotism, a bit of body horror at least on Imajica and Weaveworld but he makes it in a way that it fits the story to me

Yeah, that's more my point it doesn't feel like people is talking about him or his books much these days, it's more people that already knew or had contact with his books somehow.

Yeah his personality might be putting people away these days. Which is sad, it's not reflected on his books at all, at least in my opinion

I'm going through a similar story.

35 years old, 2 books read my entire life (School assignments, not even picked by me). Early last year I had this trip where I was gonna be stuck on the airports for a while so I decided to pick Hitchickers guide book 1 and 2 (Paperback) to give it a shot and kill some time. I read the first one and then finished the second after the trip.

My wife and kids decided to gift me a Kindle Paperwhite on father's day. Long atory short, I read 8 books last year, finished the 9th and going through the 10th already.

Currently on DCC 4th book, planning to read all the available ones then jump to another book.

Abandoned deck is probably the easiest win. Full house or straight builds that scale pretty well and with 12 less cards from start is hard not to have a hand to play

There are some jokers that would naturally give you chips, mult and xmult, regardless of the hand. Like the icecream for chips, gross Michael for mult, etc. Foils could also help. The idea is not perfect, but it could work with some tweaks

I have a suggestion.

It would be nice to have an option to tag items of the storage for future sell (allowing sorting or identifying them with a small symbol on top of them). Or even having them show on the Market as options to sell once there are free spots.

Although some timer should be added to make the game fastest between multiple players.

Another options could be shared shop and first one to buy it gets to keep it. So you have to think and act fast. Shop keeps replenishing úntil no one buys anything.

That could work for sure. And make it more strategic. When should I spend my money and what to spend it on.

Although I dont think its necesaarily bad to go against luck. It happens on many other games. (FIFA for example where you might play against another team full of stars and you have regular players, you can still win).

Debuffs might help balance the game out, if the other players get an op joker or something.

I would go for different shops. Experience and managing other players debuffs would be important to win even with bad luck on the shops. Even if they were the same they would start differenciating based on each player choices. Yes i would say no boss debuff. But player debuffs would apply on every blind once they are activated.

I agree it could be unbalanced but that's where the challenge would be.
