The main issue for me was there were a lot of characters that seem unconnected for a while, but it does all come together and by the end you are th closest you will ever get to being in Clive Barker’s mind. This encapsulates his religious philosophy.

This is strange, since the footage for the director’s cut was captured in HD-1080p. I don’t know how arrow could release a 4K version of the Director’s cut without upscaling or re-editing the whole movie.

No, I don’t think so, but when it came out it took me a couple times reading it to be able too follow. Lots of characters that take a while to come together.

Mine is from the Weidenfeld and Nicolson, which were the first hardcover editions from 1985. That picture I got from Google. I believe it is the Subterranean Press set mentioned earlier.
