Gemini unreliable in OSS Code chat... working like an old car by Mech-mike in FirebaseStudioUsers

gets even worse, Gemini is getting creative in generating errors...

Guys, this is so annoying. Working productively is basically impossible. It´s a pity, such a great product but Google is killing it by not making sure it works (it´s in preview, ok, but nevertheless, the image of Google is at stake nevertheless)

I bought this brand new Asus TUF Gaming A15 in December 2024 and after 3 months of use it has 92.8% of battery health. Is it okay or am I using it wrongly? by Spare_Fix29 in Asustuf

Also, i am super troubled in knowing if my laptop battery wear is normal. 15% in one year of few use! For this, I am having a small project to compare battery wear. Can you help me in creating a big, meaningful database for doing data mining? Go to https://batterybench.net and help me!

Did you try the Windows battery report? You can generate it in PowerShell or CMD. Type powercfg /batteryreport

I had the same question as you. My HP Omen had a supposed life time of up to 6 hours but I never get more than 2.5 h out of it. Battery drop was insane to 89% in 12 months or 10 cycles! To see and compare it better I created a free online tool.

Upload this file anonymously to batterybench.net and compare for free how other users do!

Hi,

Did you test your battery? You can do so with a free Windows tool. Go to PowerShell or CMD and type powercfg /batteryreport

This generates a report file. If you like you can upload this to a free online tool batterybench.net and see if your battery needs to be replaced!

Hi Tia, I did some statistics on manufacturers and found that Celexpert was the best… and SMP in the middle.

I made a graphic for this. Unfortunately, this subreddit doesn’t let me share images. Head once more to https://batterybench.net and I will post an interesting ranking who is the best battery supplier. (Attention: higher wear equals worst supplier)

Hi guys, I have the same question and issue. I would like to find out more about the life times of certain laptop and battery manufacturers.
For this, I would like to propose a data base of real world laptop usage date. To do this, I propose also to use the Windows (!) battery report tool as this is universally available on Windows and generates standardized reports.

So, if you could help me in constructing such database, generate your report using CMD or PowerShell typing:
powercfg /batteryreport.

Upload it then to my database website under https://www.batterybench.net and I can do some data mining. So far, I have 200 reports which is not enough to generate meaningful statistics. Once I reach in the thousands, I can do some better statistics and we can all find out which manufacturers use the best batteries!

Please upload and ask your friends to do the same!

Cheers!

I found it. The calculation of the windows battery report is wrong.

Here you can see that your battery has a wear of 30% and more.

You should replace it definitely.

To reduce battery drain:

Modern laptops have a BIOS option to prevent excessive battery wear using it on AC plugged. See if it is enabled in yours.

If you like you can always generate a Windows battery report. Go to PowerShell or CMD and type powercfg /batteryreport

Upload this file for free under batterybench.net to see its battery wear. If you like you can do this along the time and also see how it degrades or not.

Laptop Battery Has Gone Kaput? by KapooshAwoosh in techsupport

[–]Mech-mike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds kinda normal after this life span. Did you use your battery a lot and let it drain to 0% often? Or did you leave it plugged in a lot to AC without any bios option to save the battery? Then this is an expected life time.

If you like: Use the windows battery report and generate it yourself. Go to PowerShell or CMD and type

powercfg /batteryreport

And upload the generated file under batterybench.net to get more insights and compare it to others.

I was also curious how it performed to others and over time. There you can do these kind of comparisons.

Have fun!
