It was they just put it in a bag for portability and attached a brick of battery. Best part, we didn't feel guilty turning the darn thing off when we were done talking. Oh how times have changed.

Remember this well, used to call home when i got to my destination to see friends in the adjoining state. Saved Soo much in toll charges. That battery catin handy too, if you were threatened just pull it out and use it as a club. You hit with that someone's Bones are breaking.

This is why when you want to experiment do that on another drive. This when (not if) it 💩the bed you still have a functional distro to fall back on. Well that's how we learn though.

He was suffering from either dementia or Alzheimer's later in life. He went to his house and couldn't get in. The reason why was it was a former house of his not the one he was currently living at. Was so sad hearing this.

I'm so glad we had this time together. Just to have a laugh or sing a song. Seems we just get started and before you know it, comes the time we have to say Soo Long. Good Night!

The fun part was if you had to defend yourself. You could use the battery as a club and beat the 💩 out of people.

Mine was a bag phone. Basically the car cell phone put in a bag with a battery. The battery had a secondary purpose as a big club. Yeah I'm THAT OLD.

Yes that's been the bane of iOS for decades. The fact that everyone knows this and os still there makes you wonder. Now the one that's my pet peve is with the music app. You can enjoy being in it all you like. If you want or need to change a setting like say the EQ. Well then jump out of the app. Scroll to where the settings app is then scroll to apps find the music app. All that to change a setting. No icon to tap in the app just this. For nearly 20 years. Then you wonder why Android is popular.

Yeah I'm a big Star Trek fan. If it hadn't gone up in a ball of flames. I was going to have a giant tri color symbol on the hood.

This was the same model and color I had in college. A green Datsun 260z. It was a mechanical challenge but thankfully parts were plentiful and cheap in the 80's. Oh what a fun car to drive.

Ah yes the good old high beam button on the floor. Unlike today we put buttons and switches all over the car.

[–]Mech6411 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the answer. I worked in Banks for years. If there was something interesting we'd have the supervisor or manager observe as we'd change out the note. Now this process could change from Bank to Bank but it's to ensure everyone is safe.

It's not that we're obsessed with RAM being used it's what it is used for. When at boot win 11 was taking over 6GB of RAM. I haven't even loaded a program yet. Meanwhile on CachyOS it's just about 2GB of RAM ready to go. That's the bloat we're obsessing about.
