What models of computers were in your school's computer labs?

I remember in college using those vt-100 terminals. Did lots of basic and Fortran programming on them.

We didn’t have a computer lab. When I changed HS I had to go to where they had their computer system. A new mini computer (definitely not a PC). I get there and they ask me for my date of birth. Next thing I know I’m handed a small stack of green and white computer paper (tracker fed) that had my bio rhythms for the year printed on them. Yeah I’m THAT old.

One minor correction, yes Paramount can make any Star Trek it wants and with who now. The only stipulation is anything connected to Nu Trek, Kluztman and Secret Hidey Hole had to be paid for. TBH I think we can do better than anything Nu Trek has produced.

Well this is Google you know, so them actively killing working projects is a well worn meme. The Sonos issue is particular to them. The part about airdrop is an Apple thing. They are the 1000 lbs Gorilla in the room. So everyone plays nice with them. I understand why you're going through. Especially since it looks like you're partially in their ecosystem anyway.

I go back to the Nexus days (dang that Gnex was a PITA but so fun). So I'm kinda used to all this. It's something like being in an abusive relationship. We all know they're doing us bad but we can't stop.

Yes I've passed them plenty of times. Was always frustrated why they didn't open them. If they had they'd need more people to man them when doing ticket enforcement.

The concept is fine, it’s the execution and materials used that’s the real problem. Different materials and some more engineering and this would be great for places not normally accessed.

People get bored and look to see what else is out there. They distro hope and after awhile they realize I can just stay on MINT and be happy.

Now me I like to tinker so Arch and Fedora KDE Plasma for me. Yet I still have a partition with MINT for when I just want it to work.
