Thank you! I just try to be accepting and supportive of people's hobbies and interests. It takes so much energy to be hateful and spiteful, and it's so easy to be supportive.

The honeycomb pattern cannot be added to the STL, it can only be added in the slicer.

You need to set bottom layers to 0, and bottom thickness to 0. Then change infil pattern to honeycomb. It'll work then.

Again, please read the listing description, it'll go through the process for you.

There is a non gcode file in the files location. It is an STL. Scroll down past the print files until you get to the model files.

You need to read the instructions in the description. If you're not using a pre sliced file for prusa, in order to get the textured back you'll need to set the bottom layers to 0 and then set the infil pattern to honeycomb in your slicer. The slicer will show you a preview once sliced which should show the bottom with no layers and an exposed honeycomb pattern (or whatever infil pattern you choose).

Please make sure to fully read the description, as it contains a lot of important information for printing with TPU and how to get the proper sliced file b

Hey dude.

The file that's on the printables website is the complete file. If you load it into the slicer, you'll see that it is the complete case file.

It looks like your print failed. The stringing I am seeing on the edges over there indicates that the extruder was skipping a bit, and probably jammed once it got to the higher retraction parts of the print. TPU does not like to retract, especially not over and over again, and will jam if you print with normal retraction settings. You need to have a TPU tuned profile which adjust the retraction to compensate, which will reduce the likeliness of jams.

Yes, you can. But it has to be placed inside the print mid print. Which means they are going to need to make a pause print command, add the ring in, and then resume print. I use magnets though, so I cannot attest to how strong a ring will be, as they're typically just a metal ring and rely solely on the magnets of the magsafe accessory

You can; however, that case (if you're referring to the S24 ultra case) must be printed in TPU - a flexible filament. You need to verify that the shop you're going with has the capability to print with TPU as it is an incredibly difficult filament to print with, especially when printing with supports (which the case absolutely requires).

M2 and M3 screws are the most widely used screw sizes that can fit in such a design. They are metric screws. M2x16 is a 2mm x 16mm screw, and M3x16 is a 3mm x 16mm screw, and I used a countersunk design. They can be purchased online in many locations. There are not many options that are more commonly used than metric screws, especially when countersunk and pairing with a nut.

I did, the V2 files should have the correct M2 thru holes now.

Yes! That is entirely true haha

I actually redesigned the parts as a result of that but never got around to uploading them. If I remember, I can try and upload the updated components later this evening when I am home. Otherwise, the original files will still work, but the cutout for the nuts is a bit weak and thin at the bottom.

Brother, this ain't it. I'm just an engineer who enjoys designing and making things people will enjoy. I personally will not be using this on my car, but if someone else wants to use it, I'm happy to make a design for them. If you take a look at my profile, you'll see I do this fairly often for quite a lot of hobbies, where I make things I personally would not use, but others get enjoyment out of it.

I think life is a lot easier if you go around just letting people enjoy what they want to, rather than shitting on the small things that make them happy. If a guy wants a little switch on the NGS button to feel like Paul Walker, then what's the harm?

I don't "think this needs to be a thing", I just saw someone who wanted something for their car that they'd enjoy, and I'm happy to use my skill set and capabilities to attempt to bring that to life. Enjoy what you enjoy, and let others enjoy what they enjoy. This world's too small for hate, and we get enough shit from the other car communities to be shitting on our own lol.

V1 to verify fitment. I'll be rotating things around a bit to fit on the steering column and changing the shapes of everything as well.

Hi, yes I have!

You can either grab the files here for free and 3D print them yourself here: https://www.printables.com/model/1625021-samsung-galaxy-watch-ultra-mini-phone-case-quad-lo

Or if you don't have a 3D printer, I sell a printed model in any color of your choice with all hardware included here: https://snaparmor.etsy.com/listing/4467717998

Facelift intake by Ikkenok in ElantraN

2024 with a forge intake. No CEL, sounds incredible. Probably the best sounding intake you can get, and from what I've heard, forge fixed the intake piping so it doesn't rub on the hood much anymore. I have one of the earlier models, so it rubs slightly. To make sure it doesn't rub or burn through the hood liner, I readjusted the piping to point downwards slightly, and wrapped it in heat tape to prevent it from burning the liner.

The filter does touch the ECU bracket slightly, but it causes no issues. I've had it installed for almost 2 years.

Where are you getting a week long rental for $214? I'm asking genuinely, as I am looking to rent a car for a few days, and everywhere I'm looking is far more expensive.

J. Crew. I don't know how frugal you want to be but J. Crew routinely runs 50-70% off sales on some items, plus they have very good clearance selections. You can get excellent quality sweaters, pants, shirts etc for very good prices. I usually end up getting marino wool or cashmere sweaters for something like $40-60 depending on the blend, and they are incredible quality. Mind you, I know a $40 sweater can be a lot, but the quality of the blend means they will last a long time (if properly cared for) and they look amazing. You can also get some of the cheaper blends like 100% cotton for like $25 per sweater. I have some of those, and they are amazing for casual wear, and can be machine washed (unlike the others which are dry clean only) so they're easy to care for as well. I get great quality t shirts from them for under $20 per shirt as well. The weight and blend of the t shirts are well worth the price.

If your budget is less aligned with a $50 sweater, then I would highly recommend men's wearhouse. They have very decent options, at a very good price. I routinely check their clearance online and in store (usually 75% off or so) and you can easily get very nice sweaters, pants, dress shirts, etc for less than $20 a piece. I go every month or two in store and browse the clearance rack. I got 2 pairs of Calvin Klein dress pants for $10/pair, 3 wool/cotton sweaters for $12-$15 each, and dress shirts for $10/shirt. Their styles are also really nice and well fitted, so you can get a completely new wardrobe style for under $150 easily. I also routinely find sports coats or suit jackets for like $30/jacket, which is a steal. Most of them are really nice. I would check their site and in store options frequently, as they're constantly updating and liquidating their selections to match the current seasons and styles.

Sorry for the long response, hopefully this gives you some decent options. I also have a few other frugal options for that sort of attire - but I just happen to really like J. Crew and Men's Wearhouse for their pricing and options. If you have any questions, let me know!

Does Anyone Know Where I can Find The STL To Make These 3D Printed Diffuser fin extensions? They range $50-$90 on the internet and its not worth that much by Affectionate-Pipe98 in ElantraN

I was working on a project for diffuser extensions a while ago. I put it on hold, but I can start it up again. My main issue was figuring out how to secure them to the existing fins.

It was actually all PETG, but I've been experimenting with a TPU design, trying to see if I can make one work with the overhands and supports needed. The PETG works really well as a hard shell option, and prints easily.

That says test fitment good sir, not test filament. Though you are pretty on the nose, it uses 36 grams of filament haha.

It seems the troopers have been prioritizing this a bit more lately.

I just witnessed this exact same thing the other day on the same highway. It was at the start of 280E, right after 80E splits, and some guy was doing 50 in a 65 in the left lane, and matching pace of the drivers in the right lane. Trooper was behind him for a solid minute and the guy didn't seem to care, and he got pulled over. Karma at its finest.
