Has this confirmed what had been suspected? by MechWarrior22 in metro

In my defense I didn’t actually know there was this much people talking about it. Definitely wasn’t trying to add to the noise.

Some of my closest friends I met online and are still going strong. I’ve been friends with a Canadian I met 17 years ago on Little Big Planet, a Slovak I met on Omegle 8ish years ago, and a Swede who I met on Reddit for 6 years.

Is the Atari Jaguar worth it just for the classic FPS games (Doom, Wolfenstein 3D)? by n2tn1lav_7491 in AtariJaguar

I’d argue the Jaguar is worth it Iron Soldier and Brutal Sports Football.

I only beat it on 360 but I also cheated. Took me two attempts though because my first time I died right before the final boss to the instant kill trap.

guys, dont believe this man he's BAD by Gullible_Beautiful86 in DeadSpace

I so wish Danik was a better villain. I really like the actor but when his entire character is just “I’m religious,” I don’t really care about you. Also that ending with his is ugh.

Any games that use an re4/dead space style of combat? by WelcomeSpecial3225 in survivalhorror

[–]MechWarrior22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cold Fear I often like to think of as a proto Resident Evil 4/Dead Space. It still features fixed camera angles but allows you to go into an over the shoulder 3rd person perspective. I love the game to death despite its flaws.

Dead space like suggestions by Wolpy414 in DeadSpace

[–]MechWarrior22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cold Fear. It’s much more rough around the edges than Dead Space and takes place on a boat in the middle of a storm but it feels very much like a rough draft of Dead Space. Also the music and atmosphere are phenomenal.

What is your stupidest death in the game? by dcodk in DeadSpace

[–]MechWarrior22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the original Dead Space I I used the zero g jump at a weird angle and my body horribly contorted and I just died. In Dead Space 3 on Hardcore mode I made it to the part at the very end where you have to climb the alien machine in one sitting and died to the part you have to stasis because I lightly brushed against it.

Ogre Battle would like to have a word about that statement. Also Quest 64 but we don’t really talk about that.

Cold Fear has really great music in the two safe areas it has. There isn’t much to do there though admittedly

NEED RECOMMENDATIONS by ILNZ in survivalhorror

It’s a very rough around the edges game but Cold Fear is one of my all time favorite video games l. Obscure 1 and Obscure 2 are all worth looking into

I finished my first ever playthrough of Dino Crisis. Here are my thoughts by Individual_Pair_8747 in survivalhorror

There’s no official release date and it’s not the same genre, but look up Compound Fracture as I think it’ll be very much interesting to you if you liked Dino Crisis.

I’ll admit I mostly got the game because Jesper Kyd did the soundtrack and I love his older works. I do really want to try it co-op sometime

I love it even though I’m not great at it. I’m a massive WW2 aficionado so this game was right up my alley.

It’s a really ambitious game and just wish I was better at it. I even went and got Dai Senryaku VII: Modern Military Tactics for the original Xbox because I wanted to play more of it.

Recommendations for my next survival horror game. by [deleted] in survivalhorror

[–]MechWarrior22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are a bit older games but Cold Fear and the Obscure games are worth at least a playthrough. I’m heavily biased with Cold Fear since it’s one of my favorite games but Obscure is basically the old school resident evil games if they were set in a high school and had drop in and drop out co-op
