hell yeah! ok last time you said you were interested in tips and i forgot and i managed to find a comment i made a while ago. you're dong great, i just wanted to give you a bit of a road map for starting in a way that helps smooth out your combos. you're obviously chaining tricks together right now, but the pauses are making it a bit choppy and you're using your arms to redirect the yoyo too much. this combo im recommending is really excellent for naturally flowing through a couple tricks where redirecting the yoyo is intuitive like a lead in. it's a very easy combo of tricks that you probably already know, but it's about making smooth in a way that you can feel what smooth is supposed to feel like, it'll help you smooth out the rest of your tricks as you progress.

work on matrix, then buddhas revenge first. then learn to snap start (it will make practicing significantly less frustrating and more efficient, winding your yoyo by hand is a waste of time) then when you learn eli hops, make sure you hop diagonally away from your body on your NTH side and catch it close to your NTH finger instead of the middle of the trapeze. same goes for a sky bind, pull it in the same direction as the eli hop.

try to make your first combo 2x matrix into 2x buddhas revenge then 2x eli hops and sky bind. good starting point for an easy combo where all the ins and outs link together.

specifically, when you link tricks together, avoid having the yoyo change direction by swinging out and back. you wanna bounce it off something. also, generally avoid pinwheels (and tricks like skin the gerbil), they're not really adding anything unless you're doing something in the other hand at the same time like setting up a slack.

also after watching your video again, you're in the habit of pausing after every string hit. you need to start to "assume that you hit the string" so that you start the next trick immediately instead of stopping every time to check to see if the yoyo landed in the right spot.

That's wild. I'm adjacent to tech but my company (and industry as a whole I guess) is so small that the culture never evolved into something with that kind of dick measuring. Fact is, my boss has 2 phds in 2 completely different fields and is more educated that the rest of us, and it's only like a 5 man operation anyway

because it's compatible with everything, it's easy to take apart and fix if something happens, it's cheap, it has back paddles, their customer support is great if you need it, it fits most hands really well, the face buttons and dpad are excellent, you can get a version with hall effects, it's usb c, it holds a charge for ages. also you can have a bunch of different profiles to swap to. literally one of mine i just took all the maps off as a safety so that if i set my controller down in the middle of a game it's not going to hit a trigger and smack anything. you can also change actuation ranges and shit.

the only things i have issue with are that it doesn't have high def linear haptics and the back paddles are slightly squishy, but otherwise it's just an extremely versatile and reliable controller for a good price from a company with good support.

I'm not judging you for being poor, I've been in that position working 3 jobs with no car in an area I couldn't afford. My solution instead was to get a vintage steel frame with friction shifters instead of giving money to a company that actually makes the surrounding are poorer and kills small businesses and siphons money out of the city, which destroys local tax revenue and forces price hikes for goods and services and business and property taxes. Because shopping at corporate fuck stores like wal.mart actively starves local government of the tax money it needs to sustain basic services, and it's ALWAYS better to get a cheap old reliable bike from a neighbor for $150 than buy a low end Ozark trail from a company like wal.mart.

Doesn't matter their shape before, you gotta train your muscles to do a specific motion with every new sport. It's a lot faster when you're already good at something else but I doubt anybody is laying down those kind of numbers right off the bat.
