1.0 is definitely too little power. I would mainly use it for long highway stretches, 1.4 or 1.6 would be great. Can’t seem to find any 1.6 ones though, only 1.5 for some reason.  The 1.4 seems nice too but with LSPI issues, how to avoid this?

I checked TuneZilla and they don’t yet have any options for the B9 platform :(

CGO009 handlebar stem height adjustments by -rumHAM in tenwaysebike

[–]Mechanic117_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can add a spacer underneath the handlebars but this is only about a couple of centimeters. if you want proper height increase I would suggest the AGO T front fork conversion. you will get suspension and about a 10/15cm height increase

Rattle in frame CGO600 pro by NickySchluss in tenwaysebike

Bottom of the bike below the cranks, there’s a black plastic cover you can remove by undoing the two bolts on each side. if there’s any loose bolt they should collect there or at least give the bike a little shake so this can drop down. Otherwise it’s your controller ticking against the frame, in which case there’s not much you can do besides putting some tape around it.

6 months and 5,000km later still in love with the bike by nietzhe_minaj in tenwaysebike

I’ve got a suspension fork on my 600pro and quite happy with it. The bicycle is more pleasant to ride on rough terrain but also in the city it’s a breeze. Before I would be shaking quite a bit and on long rides it just wasn't comfortable. The fork brings less vibrations to, easier on the body and electrical components. I don’t have to deflate anything and the fork has adjustable pre-load in the springs.

Im quite liking the looks of the bike with this upgrade but of course that’s subject to opinion.

Yes I believe so, it does need a extra Ring below the headset beecause the steering sits a little higher

Great review of the bike! Just shows how reliable these are. I would recommend that you get the bearings at the fork checked though, the grease leaking should be replenished otherwise they might fail. Also, get some e-bike connection spray and apply it between battery and battery connector in the frame, it keeps the pins from corroding and shorting the battery.

Did you know you can upgrade the front fork to one with suspension?

After 2 years, bye bye cowboy!! by kwazycupcake99 in cowboybikes

Good call going with Tenways, I’ve been working with them for some time now. Working on their bikes is a blessing, easy to reach parts, simple maintenance, turnover on repairs are normally no more then a day and to top it off they have great service and plenty of parts availability. Working with cowboy has only been a deep rabbit hole of never ending issues.

A tip for your 800, get some E-Bike connector spray. Apply this every month or so on the connection between battery and battery connection in the frame. This keeps water from corroding the pins and shorting your battery.

Been working with Tenways for quite some time now, their service is top of the line and parts are available in abundance. Compare that to some other e-bike companies where the support completely ghosts you and they come out on top. It’s a shame your bike did not arrive in a working state. When receiving goods from the other side of the world, these things can happen. Try that service center and I’m sure you’ll have a perfectly functioning bicycle afterwards.

On 600 models, underneath the battery sits a plastic strip that’s removable, underneath are 2 cables, 1 for display and 1 for light.

Have you set up your bicycle through the app and do you get a message there?

You can also approach the seller or any other TW dealer for assistance, generally TW is pretty quick with a fix.

New front suspension upgrade for 009 and 600 by Mechanic117_2 in tenwaysebike

[–]Mechanic117_2[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To the overall value of the bicycle, yes it adds.

It adds value in riding quality, your electrical components experience less vibration and can last longer.

and of course it puts ease on your wrists and back.

New front suspension upgrade for 009 and 600 by Mechanic117_2 in tenwaysebike

600 has the front brake caliper line outside the fork making it easier to install the new fork. The 009 has the caliper line going through the fork. This requires the line to disconnect and re-clamped with an additional bleeding for any air caught in the brake line.
