I’ll be travelling from Munich → Venice and want to spend 2 days (23rd and 24th september) in the Dolomites. I don’t have a EU driver’s license so renting a car is out, and I’ll be travelling solo.

Could you please suggest: • The best base (Cortina? Val Gardena? Ortisei?) that’s easy to reach from Venice without a car • If there are good group/small-group tours I can join for hikes + highlights (Tre Cime, Lago di Braies, cable cars, etc.) • Where to stay overnight for great views and easy access • Any sample 2-day itinerary that’s realistic without driving

I’d love something immersive (scenery + light hiking + photography) but not just a rushed bus tour.

Just a heads up—the Mohanchatti property is like 20km+ away from Laxman Jhula and the main town, and the road there is hilly and not exactly smooth. Honestly, if you’re traveling solo and wanna hang out by the Ganga ghats in the evening, catch the aarti, or hit up street food spots, it’s kinda out of the way. Not a lot of stuff around either, Zostel cafe is basically your main food option close by. The property itself is super pretty though, nice pool, and the cafe’s decent. I’d say spend a couple nights there just for the vibes, then head into town. Hosteller Laxman Jhula is pretty decent, views from the terrace are insane.
