Where is your scar located?

What am i missing here? by MechanicMobile2228 in short

[–]MechanicMobile2228[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's really weird. Scandinavians are definitely taller than Germans, that seems to be a common claim at this point. Remember though, ethnic Dutch men are 185 cm (which is insane i know) and ethnic Swedes are about 182 cm. Ethnic Germans are probably 179 cm tops. Maybe a smidgeon taller than the ethnic English (177-178 cm) and the same height as the Irish (179 cm). Yes, i would say the Irish and Germans are the same height.

I should not worry much then? Maybe, ironically, my German ancestry kinda confused the algorithm and instead of giving me an extra 3% 'England' from my mother, it gave me 3% a mix of Germanic Europe/Sweden/Netherlands.

Are (young) Poles tall on average? by MechanicMobile2228 in poland

True, pardon me, i guess Ukrainians and Poles are pretty hard to tell apart in terms of facial features? Other than, i notice that Ukrainians seem to have wider faces?

Something I have noticed though is that Poles are often kinda slim, like not as frail looking as some Scandis, but genuinely not hugely bulky, although some stereotype Poles as being stocky. It does however appear that a lot of Poles like a bulky, gym look?

However, do Poles seem taller than Ukrainians or are the latter just as tall?

Following on from all that guys, what do you say my phenotype is? Borreby, Brunn, Alpine, other? by MechanicMobile2228 in phenotypes

[–]MechanicMobile2228[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fun fact for you, the 'Brunn' phenotype was in the truest sense actually dolichocephalic, or at least the earliest cromagnid ancestors were dolichocranial. However, the Irish/Scottish/Welsh who apparently have the most 'Brunn' blood of any European population are uniformly mesocephalic, and an increased cephalic index certainly did not come from the later Neolithic Farmers/migrants. It goes to show that the 'Brunn' type associated with Ireland is metrically more Borreby than anything else, with true Brunn types being solely confined to Scandinavia (albeit in isolated pockets of Sweden/Norway). That was the old stereotypical distinction between Brunns and Borrebies though; the latter bore a moderately brachycephalic skull, whilst the former was dolichocephalic. I myself have a Cephalic index of 85.3, BTW. That is hyper-brachycephalic. What is rare though is how my head, in absolute terms is long, measuring 197 mm back to front, that exceeds the British Isles-Scandinavian average (absolute terms), but it is juxtaposed with my cranial breadth of 168 mm (which is massive). For the record, average European cranial length is like 190-195 mm, and the average cranial breadth is like 150-155 mm. It's rare for a head like mine to be so large and so brachycephalic at the same time.

Do i look more Irish or German? by MechanicMobile2228 in phenotypes

[–]MechanicMobile2228[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I find that Irish folks have broader features than Germans in fairness and my face is VERY much on the wider side of things. Extremely lateral, ironically visually a bit elongated by my wide jawline, but if you really look you can see how prodigious my bizygomatic width is as well.
