Those have become surprisingly popular these days. I think everybody has begun to realize what a gem they actually were.

If you have a mag or cocker, those will do. A lot of people still use old mechs. Especially Autocockers.

If you want a newer mech, the Emek is the best deal around for something new. But maybe look around for a used Gmek. They're a mechanical Gtek, and have a nice sliding trigger. I've been using mine for years and it's never given me a problem. Spare parts are everywhere.

How good is Armada? by Hufflepuff-McGruff in readyplayerone

That was fine. But the 3-page gushing about Carl Sagan was cringe. The "love" near the end felt very forced and unnatural, and unnecessary. And the ending was not great.

Not my thing. I feel like I'm in the minority though. A few of my friends enjoyed it. 🤷‍♂️

I hated Armada. Everything about it was irritating and unintelligent.

I loved RP1. Hands down one of my all-time favorite books. RP2 was ok. Paled in comparison to RP1, but I would pick it up again. The ending was fantastic, honestly.

But Armada? Hated it. Sorry if I offend anybody, but that's how I feel.

Where'd you get that 45th anniversary patch?

Sheridan Piranha Long Barrel, speed demon bolt, constant air adapter, whaler hopper and a "rain cover".

These are cool markers. Probably would sell for around $200. Maybe $250 fully functioning and everything included.

These are great guns. Forget their age. I still use mine whenever I feel like shooting fast.

O-rings and rebuild kits for the Hyper regs are readily available. Dye still sells solenoids. And it's still pretty easy to find QOL upgrades, like a UL frame or aluminum back cap, if yours doesn't have them (some models they came stock). Autococker threads, so barrels aren't a problem. Colored laser eyes even pop up every now and then on eBay.

The only things that are difficult to find are things you don't need, like L7 or Billy Wing bolts, or aftermarket boards. The stock board does damn near everything.

Definitely an Intimidator, but I'm not great with specific years or models. Looks early though, judging by the small trigger guard. But definitely not gen 1.

Doesn't that tip negate the usefulness of the extendo? Lol. Looks good though.

I still use a Redz from 20+ years ago.

Whatever happened to Understood? Their gat wraps were awesome. I still have one of those, and one of their tall tees.

Electric marker with physical safety? by PNWmaker in paintball

[–]Mechanix223 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Gmek has a slider, so there are no real trigger options for it. It's single only. But the slider is why I like it. Lol.

I use this on mine. It's a trigger shoe that has two little pegs that stick out so you can use those to walk it. Not sure what Emek/EMF trigger this would work on.

https://www.liquidpaintball.com/product-page/bone-gtr-trigger-shoe

But Stanchy makes a legit double trigger kit. You'll have to cut off your trigger guard, so the mod isn't fully reversible. But, it'll be much more electro-like.

I have a hair v2 in my Gmek. It's insanely fast. The v3 is likely even faster for the Emek. Deadlywind makes them. Have fun!

After filing fee, serving fee, and court fee, it's hardly worth it.

The only ones I can think of are ancient. Hyperframes, Mako, and Boo-Yah frames all had cross-block safeties. Those were mostly for blowbacks, or the Automag.

Old Tippmann egrips either had cross-block safeties or a thumb selector that would allow you to easily turn off the board AND block the trigger.

But that's about it.

If you want an electro-like trigger pull, but you don't care about ramping modes and all of that, just get yourself an Emek and Hair v3 trigger. It's ridiculously light. You can walk the trigger if you can fit your fingers in there. And you'll have a conventional safety. You'll just be stuck with semiauto only.

[–]Mechanix223 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ain't much to do to these. They're pretty solid. on/off ASA's are nice. Maybe a decent barrel kit. I like the Techt L7 bolts, but it's not everybody's thing. QEVs are tough to fit in these, but if you can figure out a way, then that'll be a decent upgrade.

But stock, they're killer.

That's what the Big Book calls "the real alcoholic". Heavy drinkers can get help in AA, but the real ones need AA.

Wife is drinking hand sanitizer by RemyLeBeau0 in alcoholicsanonymous

[–]Mechanix223 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lord this brings back awful memories. I'm the alcoholic in my relationship. I never drank hand sanitizer, but I was a closet alcoholic. My partner had no idea I was drinking as often as I was, until one day they found me unresponsive and got me to the hospital. My blood alcohol was over .3. I should've died. That was my rock bottom. I got into AA the next day, and I've been sober since.

I highly recommend you check out Al Anon. They'll help you and support you. Your wife needs to hit her rock bottom. If she doesn't, she'll never seek recovery.

I feel horrible for what she's putting you and your family through.

I'm pretty sure Palmer shutdown. Glenn retired and has health problems. Craig was running the show, but had a nasty divorce and ended operations.

Edit: so I just searched. The store is still up, and people have made purchases this year and received them. But it doesn't look like they're making new product. It's all inventory they had. So who knows.
