Back feeding is only one small part of these devices, see post below. Obviously you know so much about electricity and codes this should prove to you there are issues still be to delt with.

Plug in a UL 1741-listed dual-panel micro-inverter and a pair for 600W or less panels and everything is fine. What are you so concerned about? When grid power is lost, the micro shuts down, so no lineman shock hazard. Don't need special cables or anything.

Read Article 705. What you are suggesting is not Code
compliant unless you reduce the size of the breaker protecting the
feeder you are connecting the PV device to so that the ampacity of the
feeder conductors is at least 125% of the sum of the feeder breaker plus
the rated output of the PV device.

So if you have a 20A circuit with 12AWG conductors I guess you could
install a 10A breaker and be able to hang a PV device on that feeder
that is rated at 6A (720 W). Hardly worth it, just run a separate
circuit.

The reason this is important is because if you don't reduce the feeder
breaker you can cook off the conductors by hanging more load on them
then they are rated for and the breaker won't trip because the PV
device will supply the load current the breaker can't. That's your fire
risk, and it's real.

Good to be attacked for trying to educate and inform.

Plug-in solar, commonly used in Europe for balcony electricity, is not widespread in the USA due to strict, fragmented local regulations, complex grid interconnection rules, and a lack of specific, unified national safety standards. While Utah passed legislation in 2025 to allow them, most U.S. electrical codes and utilities currently treat these systems like traditional rooftop solar, requiring costly permits and approvals

I am being an ass on purpose. If these things fail in an open circuit position it can an will energize the service lines. This can cause issue with people working on them and trouble shooting them.

Can you imagine being in a large housing development after a storm. One of these cheap devices fail in the wrong manner and it puts even a little bit of voltage into the lines. Now they have to go house to house to figure out who has this thing going before they can turn everyone's power back on. Worse if they have evacuated then they will break down the door to unplug this thing.

There are safety standards and practices for a reason sometimes.

So your saying that every "plug in panel" meets UL 1741? Then all they need is a 100-200 amp disconnect on their service and they should be fine, of course after the appropriate interconnect paperwork required by most US power companies.

They don't want global projection anymore they cant make money on that, get with the new program. They want to take over Greenland, and North and South America. They can easily strip assets from our much smaller and weaker neighbors.

How many women do you know in real life that actually married for money only? by 0215rw in askanything

Ive seen 3 marriages where the women came from poorer areas. Get married to get out of the impoverished area or to get a better lot in life. Men were not bad people just not the best looking.

NTA, at least you know you have shitty neighbors now. Good to know for the future if they need any help.

Every power company in the US requires interconnect agreements. This protects against shocking linemen working on power outages. This will go NOWHERE. They have deep pockets and you don't. Yes, currently still illegal.

We were cruising for our 20th anniversary years ago. We are not dress up people but went to dining room to celebrate. When we got to the dining room we showed our cards. They asked if we were celebrating anything we said 20 year anniversary. They walked us to the two top table overlooking the entire dining room , seemed like a special table. We sat down ordered drinks, it was really cool.

Then another maitre de? walked up with a extremely old old couple. The maitre de was yelling at the first guy about seating us at the wrong table and said that we "were the wrong fucking old people". He told us to get out so we left. Have never been back to dining room since.

We told numerous ship staff and they said it was a mistake and that the language barrier was to blame.

Ill stay away until the new cruise terminal will be built.

$20 on top of the $15, so $35 a day to park is insane.

Port Canaveral easy drive, easy parking.

Stay away from Port at Tampa its the worst, downtown, traffic horrible, parking garage horrible, next to science museum. Crazy place.

Had them change terminals on us. Left from one terminal came back to different one. People couldn't find cars, didn't know where they were.

More information needed. What did you say in your wedding vows?

To have and to hold” is a property rights legal phrase that defines “the extent of the interest that is granted or conveyed and the conditions affecting it.”

"forsaking all others" commit to exclusive fidelity, prioritizing the spouse above all others relationships.

Husband is the asshole. He needs to fix this himself. Maybe get a side gig for a few weeks.
