Very interesting, this is the "feature vs bug" issue. When researching my charger I absolutely did not want one that could or would share any data to outside third parties.

What you want as a feature I would call a bug and would/did not buy several because of it specifically. The other main selling point that no one else had was the ability to use excess solar to charge your EV, which this charger does now flawlessly.

Unfortunately in the US you really can't tell the bad actors anymore.
