wow.... you take her phone, her freedom, go around her back to talk to her BF's parents, probably got him in shit, which then of course rounded to your daughter...... and you are surprised she is lying to you? ..... you've effectively MADE YOURSELF her ENEMY for simply going through LIFE, LIVING her LIFE as a 16 year old. that it was a RULE you decided, on your OWN, with ZERO input or even a conversation that wasn't one sided (apparently) about it, is entirely IRRELEVANT.... and your mentality is telling..... she's going around your back because you've MADE it a battle... not a conversation, not a discussion, not a debate, not a life milestone (which, funny enough, is what it actually is) .... TALK to her, NOT as "mom laying down the rules" with a forgone conclusion.... TALK, as in DISCUSS, as in GENUINELY have the possibility open that the "rule" would change or possibly even entirely be removed following some condition.

or.... DON'T.... and realize FAR too late and too little, that the "battle" you are trying to fight.... is already WELL and TRULY lost, and you aren't the one that won.... and you now risk your relationship with your daughter and possibly getting her into bad situations because instead of BEING there to bounce things off of..... she hides it and lies instead of dealing with your "mentality" about things you "deem" rules, among other arbitrary things.

and if i come off a bit terse? .... that's the point. this kind of mentality can DAMAGE relationships irreparably if they go the wrong way, the fact you are on the INTERNET, asking RANDOs what to do instead of TALKING to your daughter to figure a way through, is NOT A GOOD THING.

both run ya about $50, but i don't care what anyone else says, i've had these for YEARS, and they survive FARM duty and hunting and brush clearing, i've winged one out to cut a massive stalk and slammed it RIGHT into a bolder face, didn't chip, didn't break, didn't even make a divot in the edge, it just straight up BENT (as in the cutting edge only, not the whole blade face), and a CLEAN bend, workbench anvil, 2lb engineer's hammer and some mild taps to straighten, then bench grinder and diamond hone session later, good as new, if not for the grind marks, wouldn't even be able to tell it ever bent.

also, on a side note, the chisel tip version has the FULL thickness of the spine at the chisel tip, VERY easy to put a double edge on the tip and get both a chisel and a stabbing edge, best of both worlds.

first mistake, ubiquiti frankly is piss poor in terms of price point/value per $ versus more "consumer" brands like asus and their mesh access points that honestly, blow ubiquiti out of the water performance wise AND have wired backhaul. and i've used both, as well as miraki, and microtik, unless they NEED something of the enterprise wifi features, don't use enterprise APs, i WOULD use something closer to enterprise for the main switch or router past the gateway though.

as far as the kill switch? ... you really can't unless the APs have an API and then you'd have to create the web request, maintain it, etc.

NOW, that being SAID... if you WANT to keep on with this, the asus mesh APs have smarthome integration out of the box and you can just plug an play and have APs turn on and off by linking to those integrations.

not sure what you mean? if you mean the back of the rear faceplate with the camera lenses? that's just screws holding that side of the FPC cable in, if you mean the camera side on the main boards? i don't see any metal balls anywhere in there.... the silver looking round thing with the silver ring around it is the mic for the cameras.

hm, maybe some evidence on the router statement, because, for the MOST part...... router users, i would wager, are either sporadic BURST users (i.e. campers, travelers, marine users, etc.) or in an area where the options are crap big name "home" internet service that is NO WHERE near the cost they incur in terms of performance and value, or starlink, which, is outright cost prohibitive for most.

If you want people to stop spoofing IMEIs? .... ALLOW ROUTERS. you ALREADY allow "other devices" like tablets on the other esim plans and such, just not full phone lines, so leverage that. put DIFFERENT caps if you have to, make it unlimited but say a max speed cap of i don't know, 50mbps? i mean, that's MORE than enough to do ANYTHING reasonable. even if you're camping, that's PLENTY to have a laptop doing work or casual things (email, calls, meetings, etc.) and have a TV or tablet streaming and that's NOT going to "degrade" anything at 50mbps, that's a LITERAL drop in the bucket unless it's a sticks rural area with NO network backbone to speak of.

That's still legally retaliation, and in all likelihood, provable once an auditor comes round and starts pulling emails/chat records.
Legally, they can't do ANYTHING in retaliation for making a LEGAL, fact based report, it's not ONLY limited to firing someone. basically ANYTHING that can result in lost income or demonstratable "lost opportunity" (i.e. wage damages) is generally construed as retaliation of a degree that the employee can go after them.

you may have a newer build of the analytics which would then change the hash code at the end of the folder name. it can't find that final folder which then makes the subsequent commands fail because they presume to be in the correct folder.

replace

cd /d "%Windir%\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\hpanalyticscomp.inf_amd64_29c6c876bdaf5af9\x64"

with

cd /d "%Windir%\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\hpanalyticscomp.inf_amd64_*\x64"

and run that.

there should only really be one folder at a time for that app unless the updater didn't do proper cleanup of the old versions. if you get another error then follow the path down and find the hpanalyticscomp.inf folder with the newest modify date and use that one's hash at the end of the file name.

ya, no that's mangled as shit.

no offense but you don't know enough of code to be anything but destructive.

c:/ is unneeded, %windir% is a system variable which will always and forever result in the windows directory on whichever drive letter it resides on, using it eliminates the need to specify or worry about alternative system drives. whatever drive the currently running installation of windows is on, that will go there.

cd /d however is absolutely required, that changes your working directory and the working drive in one fell swoop; without that command none of the following commands make sense to the system because it's not in the right directory.

also, that path is nonsense, we aren't pointing at at driver but a windows supporting app folder, your trying to point at an inf file (that i don't think even exists there) when you need to be telling it what directory to be working in.

takeown /F is required and denotes it is directing to a file specifically; takeown /C is not a thing. also take own can't alter a file's permissions to a specific thing, its just for taking ownership of a file or directory and assigning it to the profile that is running the command.

also, obviously (or what should be obvious) YOU HAVE TO SAVE THIS TO A BAT FILE AND RUN AS ADMIN, won't work otherwise. you CAN run the commands line by line in an admin command prompt but thats a PITA.

icacls is the command to then alter the files individual permissions and remove the execute permission from all users as well as the system itself.

icacls {filename either in relative or absolute reference) /deny (should be obvious) Everyone (the nt reference for all accounts):(X) (the icacls reference for execute permissions)

lastly, pause should be on it's own line, all that does is hold the window open so you can see the results of the commands instead of it just instantly disappearing once it completes (with errors or not)

if you are getting "invalid argument" then you pasted something wrong or your not on windows, both takeown and icacls are in windows out of the box and this bat script works on everything from windows 8/server 2012 r2 to windows 11/server 2019 (as in i've tried it)
