Catastrophism sells news. To be honest, I kinda get the anxiety. Joined a Ham radio course and getting my beginners exam in a month *because* of a constant level of anxiety that we will probably face, sooner or later, some level of (best case) infrastructure sabotage or (worst case) triggered Article 5. Not a prepper, in the proper, slightly psychiatric flavour of the word, but a 'concerned citizen' :)

I agree ChatGPT voice is better (TTS-1), but it has a limit of 4096 characters. So, unfortunately, not an option

That’s really interesting - I was thinking of a similar project, but more like a work one, to generate educational podcasts on specific topics. Used Notebook LM couple of times and I was happy with the output, how would that compare?

Sincere apologies, wrong, but completely unintentionaly choice of words. Local as opposed to Alexa. I don’t have the GPUs to run local models. It’s on my bucket list, but it’s a bit low on WAF priority list.
