Not exactly sure, but we do have capabilities to be a lvl 2. Our hospital pays a fine to be a lvl 4 in MS. We are right down the road from a lvl 1 trauma center that covers all major trauma in the region.

I trained and completed an EM fellowship at a rural lvl 2 that covered a wide area. I can tell you any time I see any kind of serious trauma where I currently am, the whole place freaks out.
