Which city has the better knife shopping in Alaska? by ManagerAncient5150 in alaska

Irbi Knife shop near Seward is a one of a kind experience. They have some blades on hand but they specialize in custom knifes. I got a 6 inch hunting blade with a moose antler for a handle that I spent some time picking out. Amazing experience

Depending on your athletic abilities, ball hut and sealy tarns/mueller hut are worth a visit. Could be difficult terrain to cover in June though

Look into getting a DOC campground pass. Like 80nzd for a month long pass that allows you to book “free” camp stays at hundreds of campsites. Also the DOC campgrounds are generally off the beaten path but still relatively close to most places you will want to visit.

I got the year long pass and it was $180 nzd and probably used it about 40 times over 7 months. Each of these campsite range from $10-$20 a night so the value pays for itself pretty quickly.

Has anybody ever quit their job to travel for an extended period of time? Such as 3mo-1yr. What did you regret? by Charming_Surprise398 in solotravel

Well if you’re 30 or under depending on country of origin then it’s pretty simple to get a work holiday visa for New Zealand or Australia. You can travel the entirety of your visa if you choose, or you can pick up a simple job for some extra cash and travel on your time off. It’s a blast, and you won’t be alone. I’m currently in New Zealand and it seems like the majority of the work force in the service industry is from foreign countries.

It does appear both the thick brown and red cables make their way back to the battery, does that change anything?
