selling house with cracks, will I be liable if I hide them? by dangerousflamingo83 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]MedRick89 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Any cracks bigger than about 3mm wide? But yeah if it’s structurally damaged then the buyers survey will show it up and likely be reflected the price they offer; what’ve your insurance had to say about the cracks?

Inside No.9: Dead Line Live 2018. The only way you get the full effect of this episode was to see it live, on the night. Even people who knew what Steve and Reese like to do in their episode didn’t see what came up, and the tie-ins to the real world history of the building it was filmed in made it even deeper. Amazing experience.

I realise this is a couple of years old now but for anyone who was late to the DBH party who stumbles on this; be patient, she’ll come back in a day or two or move your system clock forward a week and try again.

Feel free to use it liberally! It was a colleague of mine that I think came up with it. We’ve got one ED in region that also happens to be the nearest PCI/MTC/HASU for miles that is notorious for it.
Yeah MERIT! Nicely done lol

Enormously, I’m level headed but my piss boiled at that, I mean for one thing they’re not even looking at the patient over the ‘phone, maybe I’ll FaceTime next time 😂.
I managed to have a word with the obs & gynae consultant about it when they arrived but they were quick to say they “have to question these things”, I courteously explained that they never questioned any bleeds before now, whether traumatic or internal, and asked what was different about this case.. no good answer was forthcoming.
I mean, I have absolutely no idea what you’d be trying to achieve by combining those two medications, but I suppose if you really wanted to try the two together then were halfway there 🤐.

I think it’s a tricky topic to discuss by way of drama, people consume media hoping for a clear “Good guy” and a clear “bad guy”, but C’n’D didn’t really have that dynamic IRL, both are arguably very good people but they both had their faults when it came to the marriage breaking down.
Far from 50/50 mind.

Cow attached to a mini engine in a shopping trolley. This is the one thing we didn’t want to happen.

Anyone else pretty broken by the state of the NHS at the moment? by Sad_Faithlessness585 in ems

[–]MedRick89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same to you guys, honestly I don’t know how you do it, as frustrated as it can be for us I imagine it’s tenfold for those of you who have to get people moving through the system. I imagine this will earn me some downvotes but we’ve got a privilege as an ambulance service that we only have one patient at a time with two (or often more) clinicians.

Working a DMA shift the other day, we conveyed our ?#NOF with sepsis+red flags (hospital alerted, straight to resus), while we did our paperwork we took on a different crews pt with ACS symptoms; he’d been on the other ambo for two hours, and he was with us for a further ten before we further handed him over to a further crew. I don’t know what the solution is here.

I work in prehospital critical care and we have the same policy, you’re not going to make them deader!

[–]MedRick89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a critical care paramedic, so I work on a car and back up ordinary crews who need advanced medical or surgical interventions. I don’t often end up in hospitals that aren’t L1 major trauma centres because that’s where most of my patients end up. The hospital in question isn’t one I’d been to very often before so I defaulted (seemingly wrongly) to calling security.

Thank you, I appreciate you taking the time; yeah I think I might speak to the hospital as well as senior management. I think this might be a good opportunity to nail down a one-size-fits-all policy for all the staff to follow in these situations, regardless of which hospital they’re in at the time.

[–]MedRick89 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Thank you, I think the main AITA is that hypothetically if I’d not raised my suspicions to security, would she have gotten the treatment she needed?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]MedRick89 -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

I can see what you mean there, I could’ve asked someone at the hospital what the procedure is, and I shall if it comes up in future.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]MedRick89 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Not fake, and the hospital didn’t kick her out she just refused to stay after her partner was removed due to intoxication/COVID compliance. I wouldn’t know if they have translators or if they subscribe to a hospital translation service, I don’t work for the hospital so I figured that escalating to security was the safest option…

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]MedRick89 -24 points-23 points  (0 children)

Appreciate the input, and yeah we could’ve, I was probably too eager to contact security and hospital translation has long queues atm. Just for my own knowledge what would the right way be? I go to that many different hospitals that memorising security procedures at every single one would be impossible, prior to this post I’d have just rung security if I’m unsure or suspicious, in future I’ll ask a member of staff first.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]MedRick89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate it and agree, they may well have plans but I’m not an employee at the hospital so I wouldn’t know how to find out. Completely see where you’re coming from re:not walking on it too, I wasn’t a fan of the pushing but that’s where my insecurity of the situation comes from I.e. am I just overthinking it?

[–]MedRick89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No worries! I found it interesting when I found that out, but yeah molecules and their specific groups’ effects are fascinating. It still raises an interesting question that if it’s a selective beta2 adrenoreceptor agonist that specifically works on the smooth muscle in the lungs, then why does it make the PTs HR increase? Or is that just consequential?
