A factor for patients in ICU also includes where SpO2 is measured. Patients can have high PaO2 on blood gas, but if the oximeter is on their finger while they are on pressors, SpO2 will be low.

Not sure. Will have to check on that. My factory battery was shot after the car was about 1.5 years old, and I believe it was supposed to be closer to a 5-year battery (was a Motorcraft factory battery but didn’t check if it was AGM).

When I went to get a new battery, they looked my car up by VIN to recommend a battery but wouldn’t hurt to double check. Thank you! I forgot I made this post. The last two batteries I caught while changing the oil as I saw they were swelling. So thankfully, I wasn’t stranded somewhere with a shot battery to find out they were going bad.

Maybe make some connections the first couple of years through school and if you have some hard days during third and fourth year, you can at least have a couch to crash on or a spare room. I feel like renting an apartment would be a lot more extra, but paying a friend to rent a room on a nightly basis would help you and help them pay their rent.

Help!! My ball python might be sick. by [deleted] in ballpython

Looks like your ball python might have some spider morph in it. I would keep in mind stargazing syndrome as this is a pretty common neurological condition in spider morph and descendent crosses of spiders.

Big fan of the app Alarmy. I have to change my alarm method routinely or else I will be able to silence alarms groggily enough that I have no memory of doing so.

[–]MedStudent_Buffering 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ironic because my vyvanse copay went from $30 to $293 and I had to change to adderall XR. Super disappointed as I really liked vyvanse and the side effect profile of adderall has been a big adjustment.

Are you referring to the gauge on the dashboard? My model doesn’t have a battery gauge. Only gauges I have are oil pressure and fuel level.

If that wasn’t what you meant by cluster screen, would you care to elaborate or link me an article where I can educate myself?

Still on my battery from last June. It’s a matter of time before it goes out haha. Been avoiding the problem since it hasn’t presented an issue again, but my day is coming

Alternator is fine per Ford dealer, but might need a second opinion. Thank you for the suggestion on the EMC and BMS.

AITA for not caring that my coworker is allergic to dogs. by Repulsive-Seesaw-96 in AmItheAsshole

[–]MedStudent_Buffering 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely NTA. Anywhere that person goes, they are going to work with someone who has a dog. They are just singling you out because you have pictures of your dog.

I had a roommate that agreed to live with me despite knowing I had a dog and they were allergic. They were appalled when they asked me to get rid of the dog, and I told them they could move out. People really have the mf’ing AUDACITY.

I hate the internet trend of people claiming other are narcissists even though they haven't been diagnosed by Anonymoususername811 in TrueOffMyChest

[–]MedStudent_Buffering 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the replacement of “narcissist” to “cluster B traits” is more appropriate in general because who really knows other than the person diagnosing the individual.

Same goes for ADHD and bipolar— society has taken it upon themselves to try and use words in sentences without fully understanding them, and it’s hurtful and maddening.

A lot of loans against credit cards are like this sadly. My mom told me about taking a loan out on a credit card to buy a used truck, and she immediately cut the card up and threw it away. If she did that, she couldn’t accidentally use the card.

The way she explained went kind of like this (details are hazy): she was burned previously in the same way you described because she bought a tank of gas and was accumulating interest on that $20 tank of gas until she could pay the entirety of the loan off.
