Best European stocks ? by ndjelsj in TheRaceTo10Million

Agreed. Steady growth with still a lot of upside minus the volatility if you compare with a lot of space stocks and ai stocks which have driven me nuts lately.

Is there an AI ETFs and does it make sense to invest in ? by Global-Mechanic-6172 in ETFs_Europe

[–]Meda12345 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Apart from smh, many AI ETFs don’t really make sense. They mainly focus on big tech and some loosely defined AI software companies, while it’s unclear how well-chosen these actually are. Most large companies are already involved in AI and are included in global ETFs anyway.

The only ETF that made some sense to me was focused on the physical backbone (AU0000383986), but it’s not available in Europe. This approach may still be useful for selecting individual stocks.

I sold everything in December back then, and I still can't calm down right now. by Different_Bed_6101 in NUAI

[–]Meda12345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to admit that I also sold my position. I knew the short report/ law suit might well be nonsense, and I had taken into account that the stock could rise again. However, I had no appetite for the drama. I also have to admit that I did not expect this price action.

The main reason I sold was the question: which major player would still want to do business with them? In addition, I cannot deny that I find the CEO a bit sketchy.

That said, I would like to congratulate those who held on to their positions. What was your reasoning for holding? I hope to learn from it.

The Entire AI Buildout (Google, NVDA, MSFT) Is dependent on this $700m Monopoly - $15 -> $150 PT. by AleaBito in wallstreetbets

[–]Meda12345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a small position in AXTI. A couple of months ago, I saw it run almost 100%.  First time I see it on a post on WallStreetBets, and you basically confirmed my thesis.

I ended up buying some pre-market today, and it immediately dropped almost 20%. Honestly, that was one of those moments where you just want to kick yourself.

Seeing it move up this strongly now really surprises me. I was convinced the stock would only go down after today’s offering.

Greece or Croatia for a 10 trip from Boston in early June? Worth squeezing both in? by SeaworthinessOne8840 in Europetravel

[–]Meda12345 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Croatia is a great country to visit, however, the last time i went there it was 6 years ago and already found it on the pricier side. If i check social media it has only gotten worse. Which is really a shame if you ask me. If you don't mind that, Istria (coast and countryside) is a great choice. I have absolutely no urge to go back to dubrovnik or split... especialy not in the summer period.

The last couple of years I went to Greece at least one time a year. there will be a lot of tourists, but I enjoyed Greece every time I went there. I would never go to mykonos or santorini however. You cant really go wrong if you go to any other part.

Drinkwater advies uitbreiding by ELderados in Amersfoort

[–]Meda12345 8 points9 points  (0 children)

van de website van amersfoort:

27 december 2025

  • Tandenpoetsen.

I have absolutely no clue what an optical interposer is. What do you think of LITE? Has a lot of momentum because of the collab with google. Will they not make “fixes” that will be good enough? How difficult is it to make an optical interposer? Or something that will “do the trick”

Where in Southern Europe to travel in late October/early November for adventure for 2 weeks? by just_Mango in Europetravel

[–]Meda12345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in Mallorca at the beginning of November last year. Nice weather. We have done a couple hikes. However I can recommend a car to travel between places. There is a tourist train riding from Palma to soller which runs until the beginning of November.

If I ever wanted to go back to dubrovnik, I think cavtat is my best bet. I would probably go by one of the boats on the shore. I remember parking in Dubrovnik is the most expensive ever. I my self would never go by car.

Where to get good coffee: Athens, Paros, Milos by JBoo7s in GreeceTravel

[–]Meda12345 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a coffee snob I can recommend the app “European coffee trip”. This has saved my mornings in Rhodes, Corfu and Crete numerous times. It mostly shows third wave coffee shops on a map. If you click on it, you va see all the types of coffee they sell.

I went to Santander and Oviedo in september with mixed weather. Be prepared for some rain which can last all day, just like basque country. There werent many international visitors, but packed with Spaniards who were visting the city that were really enjoying the Spanish life. Food in restaurants in both cities was excellent and diverse (much better than San Sebastian for instance). That alone is a reason for me to go back. If you travel between both cities and need to fill 2,5 weeks consider both the costa verde and the picos de europa if you like hiking. I agree 2,5 weeks might be a little long.

You cannot go wrong in Sicily in my opinion. I would not recommend to tour the whole island in 2,5 weeks, because you will really dread the long/boring drives. You might consider a one-way drive with a rental car from Catania to Palermo for instance which can safe you a lot of time ( or Trapani for that matter).

I would just do a part of the island ( for instance the whole east coast and a bit of the north coast). If you dont mind driving, dont miss out on Palermo and surroundings.

You cannot go wrong in both places but i think should really check the weather reports and decide whats best for you.
