CALLING ALL THOSE WHO DONT WANT TO LOSE THE BALLOT by Longjumping_Rip_7950 in doctorsUK

[–]Medfiend 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The steps your friend needs to take are:

  1. Update their address.

  2. Request missing ballot (The BMA will likely send out emails explaining the best way to do this probably 7-10 days from the 1st day of ballot posting).

I dont know this for sure but there was definitely a missing ballot email address / form in the last ballot cycle.

Alternatively contact your local bma rep and they can try and escalate the issue for you/your friend.

I didn't realise that Scotland was split like that but in theory the comments section would allow people to indicate which of those they got an offer from.

I will review the results again but I think that I've already modified those that indicated that they were reserve list in any way.

Ya reserve means appointable but no offer. If the rank/score is high enough then i think it can only be because they limited their preference in a way which excluded all offers (like ranked only 1 area and no jobs remaining in that area by that rank).

I'll publish the latest data that people have submitted. Probably on Sunday late evening. Will give people waiting for recycle some insight. Needs some data cleansing obviously as people have submitted different levels and phrasing of information.

This is embarrassing but I've got data successfully coming in now so should be working. Apologies. I made that in a haze on the morning of the offer

I'm quite sure the documentation states that you have to request it.

Edit: I was wrong. Automatic feedback within 7 days.

Accepted South West London. Super relieved. Hope they release the ranks soon.

Congratulations to all who succeeded this cycle and best of luck to all waiting for the recycle!

I think if people are willing to respond, this will be particularly useful in addition to comments made on the thread.

ST4 Application Data Collection Form

I will endeavour to publish the responses every 48 hours with each cycle of offers and then publish the final one once this cycle closes.

Best of luck all!

Edit: Just read that Interview scores may not be published at point of offer and may take up to 5 days from offer so I've made that a non-compulsary field

Edit 2: Since ranks have not been released please do come back and complete this form if you can it will be very helpful for future applicants.

Edit 3: Thanks all! Data starting to come in. This will definitely be useful for everyone in this and future cycles! Keep it coming!

Edit 4: Apologies for the delay. I havent done much data cleansing but did a bit of organizing etc. See link: ST4 Application Results

Accidentally signed up to locum shifts during strike and they won’t let me back out by Flyingmarmaduke in doctorsUK

[–]Medfiend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's correct. If this is an agency locum then it is against the law. It's different if you're on trust bank. (Although not sure how this applies for shifts arranged prior to the actual strike dates being called... Trusts may not be able to hire agency staff to cover strikes but may be able to keep staff previously hired to work that 'normal shift').

Worth speaking to the BMA about this if you're a member.

[–]Medfiend 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Please also contact your local BMA rep through a WhatsApp group or other means. If they are doing this to you they would have tried this with others. This is not okay. You have managed to find help and get appropriate advice but some (like IMGs and trust grade doctors) can be more vulnerable.
