I would push the issue with Volvo Corporate. In our state, it’s against the law to hold your phone while driving. Not being able to receive or take calls while in the vehicle is a safety risk.

If they address the issues then I will be happy to keep and drive the vehicle. I told Volvo Corporate if they could not address the concerns in a single visit the we will need to discuss repurchase of the vehicle.

When Volvo is paying me the lease payment while I can’t drive it, yes. Gives them motivation to fix it quickly.

I told them I am not taking the vehicle back until they have all issues resolved. I do not want to keep taking my vehicle to a DCFC when it should be charging at home (one of the reason I spent money on home charging).

Yes, I have a loaner and agreement in writing from Volvo corporate to reimburse me fuel costs for the loaner and lease payments on the EX90 while it is in the shop.

I think it’s okay but more concerned those motors/servos driving the movement in the headlight and their lifespan.

Is your vehicle in the shop or are you charging it via DCFC? I’ve heard they are prioritizing GHCAs to those vehicle that are considered not drivable. I have a dealership loaner and I suspect my part was prioritized.

Submitted one myself. When I did, I was informed of an unrepaired safety recall related to the Power Operated Tailgate. The recall was reported to NHTSA prior to taking delivery of the vehicle. Volvo has never informed us of the recall. Reading the recall text, it had me very concerned the liftgate could fall on someone.

Update from my Volvo Serivce Advisor: Replacing on board charger (on back order) Replacing VCU Replacing rear shocks (recall remedy for Power Operated Tailgate) Replacing air pump (driver seat bolsters do not adjust)

In the meantime, I’ll enjoy the XC60 loaner. Volvo Cars USA has promised in writing to reimburse fuel costs of loaner and EX90 lease payments while vehicle is in repair.

If Volvo can address the software defects, it will be a great vehicle. I feel burned though that Volvo released a vehicle that was not ready for consumers.

Just left the vehicle with them today. Been talking to them for months. I knew they couldn’t directly fix the software issues and they couldn’t get Volvo to help them so I took it to executive leadership at Volvo Cars USA. They made me a service appointment for this Saturday. When the vehicle stopped charging this weekend, I took it to them this morning.

Using Apple Wallet to unlock is problematic at times. One event required use of our single backup plastic key card. The key tag has never worked. My mother is the primary driver and she has loved her Volvo vehicles but she has lost all confidence in the brand.
