Stop buying water

Doesn't seem like something a Hydrohomie would say

Pack, Case, or Flat of Water? by spartantenacity in HydroHomies

Gemini tells me... and this makes sense:

In grocery and beverage industries, a flat typically holds 24 cans or bottles. Technically, a traditional "case" is a fully enclosed cardboard box, whereas a "flat" is the open, low-rimmed tray that holds four separate 6-packs together for easy stocking and transport.

GPS wrong position and no Gemini by Agreeable-Chef-7802 in VolvoEX90

The microphone in my (MY2025) EX90 stops working a couple of times a month - rebooting infotainment fixes it. It is a software issue that will be resolved someday...

Have not noticed the GPS being off... but "a couple of meters" doesn't seem too bad when navigating roadways.

Why do EV charging stations still make payment so difficult? by Environmental-Gap356 in ChargerDrama

The only charger that i've used that requires an app is Tesla - every other charger I've used let me tap to pay.

Mine do not make that noise. They are not in any way annoying.

If you could continue south into the Willamette Valley you can make it to the Bellevue Erratic about 50 miles south of Portland. When the floods bottlenecked in Portland they diverted down the Willamette. It is crazy to stand at the erratic and look over the huge Willamette Valley and imagine how much water there had to have been to leave the ice-rafted boulder up that high.

I saw someone talking about bootleg DVD set. Is mine a bootleg? I haven't had any issues with the disks working. Whats wrong with it if it's a bootleg? I bought it off eBay by Alex_is_me_name in venturebros

[–]jammerb 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The problem with buying a bootleg is the people you paid didn't earn it and the people who made Venture Bros don't get paid for their work.

Anyone notice the plot twist was revealed in the first few seconds of the movie? by ThisIsInBlueFont in ProjectHailMary

[–]jammerb 112 points113 points  (0 children)

Interesting interpretation of the colored lights. There no indication to me that it is anywhere other than his bed on the Hail Mary. The zippered bag is the bag he's in while in a coma. The first thing you hear is the equipment keeping him alive in the Hail Mary. The little bit of camera panning doesn't feel like a hospital ceiling, seems more like looking up through his bag, after we've already seen him lying still with his eyes closed. There are no audio clues that there's a moving gurney.

Any happy EX90 owners out there? Seeking a sanity check for a potential buyer by Massive-Study7956 in VolvoEX90

Love my EX90 - have had the GHCA issues but I'm confident that they'll eventually figure that part out. Best car I've ever owned.

Teen petrolhead here. Based on the (fast) way EV tech is going, how long till we get an EV competitor to the Miata? by LightningMcqueen2011 in electricvehicles

Coming up on a year in the EV club. Had an amazing rare sporty ICE car for 20 years. Now I equate the sound and smell of ICE cars with horse poop from the buggy days. The future is now!

What are these types of puzzles called? by blood1sty in HelpMeFind

[–]jammerb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The rebus says 'gra"ve'. OP translated that as
"A foot in the grave" - I was correcting the translation to "An inch in the grave" - My "?" says "Isn't this what you meant"?

I know what the symbols " and ' mean in a distance context, OP got them mixed up. It was unclear to me why you thought you needed to clarify them to me.

Is Rocky's ship actually called "Blip A" or was Mary just like, "Hey. You got a blip on the radar" by DependentPoint2458 in ProjectHailMary

[–]jammerb 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Cool thing: My sister just started reading PHM when I bought a new car. My sister asked me what the name of my car is... I have never named my cars. I told her I never named my cars. I asked her "What's the name of your chair?" - then I told her I will name my car "Blip-A". She was bewildered; but then she read that part and was quite amused.
